How the looks of the DGs effects your choise?

Bah... why the graphics desighners add so ugly DGs... Oak is awesome, Rook is awesome, Aerobus is awesome
all the rest look like poo =.=
i guess its all come to the taste of the player but comeoneee.... a chick on a tiger as a healer?
what you guys have no creative minds?
how about a monk in a white glowing cloack with angelic wings as a healer sounds?
I mean DGs are supposed to be gods... and a girl on a tiger is not quiet godly i must admit
look at rook, he looks like a god, aurobus (cant spell his name lolz) is a vempire lord which can be sort of devine...

And the guy with the crossbow, wtf? and whats up with those google he got on his head?..
You wanted a ranged DG so you could of make an Elf-like character with a cool long bow (and not a wierd crossbow)

And the mage, he looks ok but i just cant stand his beard...
you could of make more beast like DGs such as UB as UB is the only none humenoid DG which is lame
elemental mage could of look like a hybrid of a golem of 2 elements (ice and fire) but nooo.... no creativity at all... =(

I dont know, maybe its just me, but i cant enjoy playing a game with a DG that looks like crap
DGs must show thair stranght in thair looks, there are septers used in melee (wtf was it hard to place swords insted?)
for example Rook deffo shows his power as tank and damage dealer with his huge hummer and his sizes overall
Oak shows his powers with his cool axe and shild as he is a paladin and he looks like a paladin...
Vempire Lord got an awesome float animation when he walks which goes well with his vampiric cheracter!

Amusingly enough, a monk-type figure is infinitely more cliche as a healer than a chick with a spear on a tiger.

Yeah, because *nobody* anywhere would *ever* compare that to, say, Legolas. Fallen angel is better than elf, anyway.

Wierd, I like sedna, regulus and TB.  However, I don't really like the look of oak or erebus.  It is definately all about individual taste.

Kinda like maps.  I pretty much despise prison even though it is probably the most popular.

I actually like the look of everyone except QoT.  I don't like the beetle-flower thing she's pimpin.

I think Oak and Sedna are my favorites as far as looks go though.

I like the Unclean Beast. In the beta I played the Rook first, then when the Unclean Beast is available, I chose it immediately because it looks so cool. Maybe I'm just weird. :)

i think erebus could loose the shield i mean he doesnt really have that much of a tanking ability other then the fact his bite and stun keeps him alive

I like all of them but QoT.  Her implants go against nature (she would be much more attractive if she had normal/athletic size breasts) and in game her plant ride has too many tenticals/twitching for my tastes.

That said, she's fun to play and really good so from that perspective her looks don't stop me from playing her.  I just hate clicking her from the character screen.

I like the chick on the tiger, and she's my current choice DG. Them yetis pack a punch (or swipe... LOL!) :-D

Oh, and they are NOT YET gods so they don't really have to look godly yet.

Hooray for the chick on the tiger! LOL!

Graphics were 100% the reason I bought the game. They are enchanting.

I don't like erebus. He just seems so weird. All the other demigods look great.

LOL, I don't mind the boobs at all.  I remember seeing close up shots of her and thinking wow, a half naked chick that floats, and is covered with vines....that's cool.  But then you get the game and see the whole beetle/flower thing and that sort of killed it for me.

It reminds me of the whole pumpkin carriage thing.  Kinda hokey.

Still i would of prefared to play as elemental golem and angelic healer
then an insane dude with a wierd beard and a chick riding on a tiger...
and a chick sitting in a wierd flower with bugs or whatever moving her around...

I like swords much more then septers as well, and its wierd that vempire lord swinging his septer around...
and since when vempires use septers overall? as far as i remember everywhere where there were a vempire he used a sword..

In all honesty I think Erebus and Oak are 2 of the more unoriginal looking ones of the group. I think Rook is incredible. I like QoT as well. I just think they both really have a different look. In all though I like all the designs with exception of Regulus. I just think they should have stuck a bit more to the angel theme. His normal look just doesnt cut it for me. They should have made him like a shirtless fallen angel look on the ground and took away the crossbow and made him have some divine powers instead or something.

Erebus (or Aerobus as the OP called him) looks cartoony with his odd skinny proportions, almost like a Warcraft character.

Queen of thorns' chariot puts me off, and the fact that shes on alot of adds in a shameless attempt to sell more copies using her big barely covered tits.

Sedna has the warrior princess vibe, which is o so cliche. Plus her frostsaber or whatever isnt a very original concept. Again more oversized half exposed tits. (I aint against tits but I aint into 3-d CGI girls either, to me it says 'if your playing this game you must be sex starved!' thanks alot GPG! Or hell maybe its the graphics designers there that need some action)

Torch bearer is awesome except his skinny bare burnt limbs should have been armored or covered in tattered clothing.

Unclean Beast looks scary as hell! Thumbs up there.

Rook and Oak are both awesome, but perhaps a little too similar in style.

Regulus looks OK, though I would have perfered a good old longbow as his weapon, and a different voice actor.

Oaks the coolest!

I think erebus looks cool with his odd proportions. He's a vampire! While his armor doesn't screwam old school vamp movie his body does. I think he conveys that image quite well.

It is a bit shameless to advertise the game with big barely covered tits when her actual body is less than half of her character model. Doesn't bother me since I don't buy things for tits but it was strange the first time I played an actual game and was like who the hell is this flower chick? No indication theres anything more to her than a nude chick with some vines. lol

I think sedna looks cool. She does have the sexual quality but it's not as over the top as QoT. She shows off some cleavage but you can see worse in any game. I always chalk titty monster character models up to lonely lonely lonely programmers. Sex sells but your the one deciding on how much sex there is. Girls can be as sexy with small tits lol. Also I think sedna might be cooler on a polar bear, thats actually what I originally thought she was on. The siberian tiger thing is a bit played out after WoW.

The break down:

The "chick" (Sedna) is not just on a tiger, she's riding a saber-tooth tiger and has a spear.  In essence, she's an Eskimo; this also explains the Yeti she spawns as her minions.

Regulus is an angel that's lost his wings.  If you zoom in on his back you'll see where the bloody stubs are where they were chopped off.  He's like what would be if Rambo was real, died, went to heaven, lost his wings, and came back to kill everyone.

Unclean Beast is not the "only non-human Demigod," the Rook is a living fortress with the soul of it's builder controlling it (read the backstory, it's very interesting).  The Vampire Lord is just that, a vampire (this is not human per say, but instead undead).  The 'mage' is really a demon type thing.  I'm unsure what he is, but he changes graphics when phasing from Ice to Fire (it's really cool, actually).  And, the Queen of Thorns is not at all human either, but instead more of a magical wood imp.  The only true human types are Oak (an immortal knight), Sedna (Eskimo lady), and Regulus (fallen Angel).

Overall I like the unique look of the Demigods and their individual personality.  It's better than most games that copy-n'-paste most looks and play styles of each one into the others.

Judging from TB's back story he was a viking due to two things.

1. It was always or just plain snowing a lot where he lived.

2. His beard style is very norse / viking like.

Personally thye all look fine to me, regulus is a bit bland but not much to complain about. The only annoying character for me is sedna due to.... SEALA SEALA SEALA SEALA SEALA SEALA SEALA SEALA SEALA. That and I think a more vindictive atitude would have suited regulus better. I mean he's a pretty cool guy, killed townspeople with a giant crossbow and doesn't afraid of anything.

Do you know what the word "humanoid" means?...
That they got 2 hands and 2 legs and one head on the top with 2 knees on 2 legs and so on...
it dosnt mean they must be humans... Rook is humanoid just as the vampire and any other DG except UB

I think the Queen of Thorns sucks. She should be able to crush other demigods between her massive thorn-covered bosoms. She should also have a stun attack with an animation of her bumping the enemy demigod with her ample butt cheeks.

I like big thorny butts, and I can not lie!

Rook is the clear winner from an art design stand point. What an awesome character model, huge and badass, really appealing.

I'm a big fan of the Oak as well. really nicely designed armor and sometimes you get a peak at the fact that there's nobody inside the suit, can see this clearly during his death animation (where the whole thing surges with light then blows apart leaving no body behind).

i also like the Unclean Beast. its a huge demonic zombie gorilla/wolf monster thing. if you look closely at it you can see that its completely inside out. bones on the outside, then guts under the bones and a layer of rotting muscle and skin at the lowest level. its disgusting but also awesome.

Sedna is definitely the weakest design in my opinion. i know the artwork matches the backstory (which is actually a really nicely written piece of fluff, by the way) but its still a boring character design. just a chick on a tiger, nothing all that exotic about it. its a big tiger i guess.

The looks make me want to buy Demigod action figures to display on my computer. Seriously.

The truth is that i think that the DGs were ment to be a very high detailed DGs such as Rook
we all know Rook was the first DG to come alive during the consturction of the game
so i bet that is the reason he is so cool, after that the designers saw how long and difficult it is
to make another DG such as Rook so they went on simpler things with less poligons and cool details
somehow i think Sedna was the last DG to be designed as they have no time left they oviously did her in a rush.

Doesn't effect my choice at all. I'm zoomed so far out in game it doesn't matter.
