"Upgrade All" button

There are way to many cases in which buildings would not upgrade for one reason or another. A "upgrade all now" button somewhere in the menu that you could click to tell the game to scan all planets and try to upgrade all buildings would be an ideal workaround...

It is somewhat unpleasant when the Governors don't upgrade to the Neutrality Learning Center from the Discovery Sphere (or likely the Invention Matrix, as well, but I only know it happens with the Discovery Sphere). The Learning Center is far superior to any research facility, but it only upgrades to them if you have Research Academies already.

That's the only instance I've seen where the Governors don't upgrade improvements. I suppose there are others, but...

Yeah, it's kinda a pain to go through and upgrade all the planets. I suppose the best fix in my case is to not go beyond the Academies before getting Ethics and choosing Neutral. Though proper upgrade policies for Governors would help.

this mainly happens after you Conquer a planet, the new govoner is lazy git and dont do his job

I only get it after i have flipped a planet....not conquered.

I tend to find tho after clicking turn...presto it all upgrades on the next turn.

It's no hassle...i can live with it and IMHO i'd much prfer the devs go after bigger fish.

That being said....it's still a good idea.

While this is annoying . . .

I'd rather have an option to prevent farms from upgrading.

That'd be nice, too... manual upgrading, or a rationing of food from the farms to restrict population size. Once you get up there in tech, there's a jump of 7 pop units per farm, with no inbetween.

I ran into an ugly situation with the upgrade governor regarding NLC's.

Problem with the NLC is that is costs twice as much to build as the discovery sphere and only provides an improvement of around 25%. I prefer the discovery sphere. The NLC *should* provide that bonus with the same cost, otherwise, what's the point? I think that belongs in the "worthless things in this game" thread.

I got really screwed in a game where I had a lot of planets and was upgrading from research centers. I traded for NLC and invention matrix. All the planets went into upgrade to NLC as expected. But, I actually wanted to take them to discovery sphere right away. The governer will not upgrade NLC to discovery sphere. It thinks NLC's are better, but they're not, way too expensive now. I had to go in and manually change a couple hundred upgrades...big argh.

?... too expensive? Once its built, it doesn't matter. It gives more points for a single improvement square, which means you can pump more research out of your planets.

Unless you're talking about 'Maintenance', then that's another matter... however, I can't check how much it is maintenance-wise right now.

Ditto.
