Getting odd behavior on the login fields using Firefox on my Mac. When I type in the fields, the default "Enter Here" text doesn't go away... it just sits on top of whatever I type.

Aside from that... very nice redesign

Same here with Firefox on Windows XP. Latest patches for both.

Hey what do you know? It changed... I must be blind... I didn't even notice anything but the new background and rating buttons until I saw this...

Yea, there's still a few glitches with the latest Firefox.

I've made a few tweaks to some of the javascript that may already have fixed the problem too.

I'm liking it too, but where are the options (I can't find watchlist, or user account options)...

I agree I like this version a LOT more. It seems very professional. And has a strong sense of spacing and a thematic approach, that is pleasing to the eye. Nice work.

Agreed. Very nice.

But I've been having a lot of odd behaviour as well (using firefox too). I cannot quote anyone, (by using the quote button).
Also, latelly the site has been vere very slow, and I've had a lot of server timeout pages instead of the threads I waned to read...

One last thing, I noticed that from time to time the list of threads stops refreshing itself: I though that there was noone here yesterday, and then I clicked anyway in one thread I posted and there were a lot of new posts.

And lastly, like Dravisher, I can't see the whathlist or user account, etc. I'm certain it was there a few days ago! And I do not see my name anymore either: usually once connected I have a "Welcome Citizen Nastavnik", now it's jus "Welcome"
and a black space.

Well, the quote thing has been broken in the old design as well.

The messages in forum threads are too far apart.

It's not really HTML. There's a form outside the HTML element, no DOCTYPE, the index page starts with that unfunny nonstandard MS-intro ("" which AFAIR is used to declare a UTF-8 encoding in what MS thinks is XML, but which is wrong anyway since the content-type HTTP-equiv sets the encoding to ISO-8859-1).

I think it's appalling. The optics aren't bad, but the technical side... whoa!

Hmm.

Well, I do agree it looks very, very cool, but I'm running Opera 8.5.1 and there's a couple quirks.

For one when I'm not logged in there's just two input areas with no labels (though I figured that the left was username and right was password) right above the "send password" and "create account" links.

When I am logged in the "Log out" link is invisible. I see "Welcome, Citizen Jeysie", and there's a small spot just to the right of my username that yields the Log Out link when hovered over, but no button or text or anything. Hmm.

Edit: Never mind, everything's working fine now. I must have come in on a temporary glitch.

While I like the new design quite a lot, I wouldn't go that far...

It's very nice indeed! Now all you need to do is fix those annoying problems we come across from time to time.

I would also add to the remark that it is slow. It is much slower than the older version. Not "wait two extra seconds" slower but like "request timed out" slower. At home I have a 384 down pipe but the pages still load slow. At work I have two T1's and it is slow there too.

Im using opera 8.5 and there are plenty of issues with it. For one, the "recent posts" left on the page are all askew to the left. And on the forum it keeps redownloading the images, getting exponentially annoying though.

Yes, it appears that the database queriest to fetch the medals is not optimized the best.  But we are working on improving that.  Also there are a few other problem areas that we are trying to chase down.

I have the exact same issue with Opera 8.51. ANNOYING. GRRR. SMASH.

Hmm. I'm also having the problem with the Recent Posts thing being off to the left, but I had simply thought it was a problem with my font size. (My vision focus is awful, so I have to use 18px font... tends to mess up most website designs at least a little bit.) Maybe it isn't just me after all... ?

I also used to have that problem with the forum post pages and images constantly refreshing whenever I was logged in (didn't happen when I wasn't) but that seems to have stopped happening now... *knocks on wood*

Sorry about that one. I'll make a custom CSS change for Opera users. I'm not sure about the image redownloading issue. I would imagine that is controlled by the browsers, as the image paths and file names on the page do not consitantly change (which might cause the browser to download each image as if it's never downloaded them before) and are not in anyway special in the way they are used.
