I do like the "Switch tabs on mouseover" option I understand that the speed of which tabs are switched was made with care against accidentally hitting tabs which is good. Still, I think I would like to see the speed increased for switching tabs. Not a lot, something like a 25 percent increase to still preserve against accidental tab switching but also increase productivity speed a little

I'm really glad Stardock chose Tabs as their big new feature with Fences 6. It also shows you went all in with Tabs with additional tweaks such as group snapping / unsnapping and tab personalization. Fences 6 is already a better release then Fences 5 was at this time and so it is nice to turn the page. I am sure I will have more feedback as I test out Fences 6 but so far I am impressed

I fully agree that the roll up feature of fences could be better. I would prefer "one click" open / close myself. Another issue I have is that the header moves down with the rolled down fence meaning you have to chase down the new header position to close the rolled up fence again. It would be soo much easier if the header stayed put so I could open / close faster. Hopefully in the future Stardock refines the roll up feature With that said, I actually use the page feat

The 30 dollar option is. "Fences 5" "permanent license" Not "Fences" "5 permanent licenses" Correct? Sometimes I misread that myself

Essentially, Microsoft would like to target the same group of people that is willing to spend 1,200 dollars every two years on their smart phone just for a replacement battery and new operating system (bundled with unnecessary hardware). Fortunately, Microsoft has not had very much success going this route.
Thanks for the info. What version of Windows are you running?
I have been running the release channel version of 24h2 for a while myself. Its actually gone really smooth and I haven't noticed any issues on this channel or felt the need to leave it due to compatibility issues. I am tempted to test the beta channel version of 24h2, there is a "go back" button after all if it isn't a good build.
Last week, Microsoft has started nagging me to update to 24H2 - 26120.3073. I'm not sure why they want me to upgrade from the Beta Channel to the Development Channel, but I'm not planning on doing this.
I don't believe keeping 23h2 on the beta channel was ever intended to be permanent. I suspect that the 24h2 build will eventually be the only build offered on the beta channel. Every once in a while Microsoft puts the same build on two channels like this. I think t

But on vertical taskbar, when the windows taskbar behavior is not set to "always" combine the taskbar buttons, then there is no thumbnail preview. Probably Stardock had made the system fool proof for this setting for horizontal taskbar but forgot for the vertical.
This time I can reproduce the issue. It appears you found the variable.
The point of writing this is to suggest that the developers of Start11 could take inspiration from MyDockFinder and Quick Access Popup to create one unified, supercharged Windows 11 application, If they don't, I might just come out of retirement and develop an application like this myself. I think what is happening is that you need to deactivate multiplicity 4 on you old pc. You can do this by clicking the (...) at the end of your license code in your downloads. Multiplicity only allows 1 master pc at one time that can control others via KVM
Unfortunately I don't think anyone reported it during the beta (I think, apologies if I missed it) which is why it remained in the release version. We plan to do an update this coming week based on some issues reported and will investigate that too. Obviously the more information you can supply on your setup the better as it really helps reproducing issues.
I can reproduce this issue on my 24h2 build of
You can still drag the taskbar to increase the size, and it doesn't affect the icon sizes, but it does allow multiple rows of icons.
I think my favorite method of controlling taskbar size (by far) is using the new button width and height options. It allows a more exact sizing of the taskbar. Of course, the width option increases the size of taskbar on the left or right.

There is a controllable slider in the pinned taskbar shortcuts section. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be there or not
