It seems like the same issue as in the OP. At least I'm not alone haha. Im back where my Win 11 machine is so I'll make the demonstration video soon.

Sure thing. When I have a little more time Ill make a proper video showing most of the screen and the entire testing process from start to finish with commentary so it's as clear as possible.
Yes, I am on 2.6 and unfortunately still experience all of these issues, a long with this new one that seems to be difficult to repro . Thanks for a least taking the time to comment and formally record the simple arrow issue.

I will try a Clean Boot soon when I get a chance. However, I thought I'd try a Windows Sandbox first since it was more convenient, and in theory should be the most clean setup possible. All I did in this sandbox after starting it was install Chrome. FireFox, and Start11, and then configure Start11 to have the enhanced taskbar on top with auto-hide, always combine icons, etc. Apologies, since the sandbox seemed to screw with the recording framerate, which makes te
Hmmm, sorry to nit pick, but what if you put the group of actual windows (and not the initial pin) in the second spot and click on that a few times? Not sure how you're pin ended up like that but I pinned chrome while it was open and my pin for it is the same as open windows. That is, clicking on my pin doesn't open the windows in a separate taskbar slot like yours. IIRC you're also using the Enhanced Taskbar. What about autohide? Just trying to think of any differences since at le
I did everything you said to the letter, and unfortunately the issue still occurs. Some programs seem to only cause this behavior from one click to the next, but the one program that seems to always cause this is Chrome. I'd like to clarify that it does seem that the slot matters. It mainly happens to happen in the 2nd slot, though I have gotten it to happen once or twice in the first. In your testing you show the icon being far to the right, not in the 2nd or 1st slot, so I'
I apologize that this by its very nature is somewhat rude, and I understand that Start11 isn't exactly an expensive product that my particular settings may potentially be some of the least common and therefore the least worthwhile to support, and that the developers have to constantly adjust to the shell changes that come through Windows Updates, but: I very much would like to enjoy and appreciate Start11, but it is difficult when (at least for me) there are many issues that requir

I can confirm that after some time, I have not seen this issue return on my system, so disabling the above setting is the right move as long as it doesn't cause issues. It may have influenced the issue I have where the task bar doesn't want to un-hide when a window is maximized, but I've experienced this intermittent problem even before turning this off so it's hard to say.
Just wanted to bump this since it should be easy enough to fix whenever it can be gotten to.
Thanks Adam, That all sounds like it matches my experience to me.
A sensible request that I'm sure may have already been considered, but put on the backburner due to the technical challenges involved with making it happen. Nonetheless, it would be awesome if eventually the notification and calendar panels could be flipped and re-anchored when using a top taskbar so that they're more-or-less mirrored from how they are when using the default taskbar, and therefore more intuitive: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/69/71/6971116/9eb91642-
A minor detail that seems to have been missed: When the taskbar (enhanced in my case) is on top, in order to better match how the taskbar used to behave on older Windows versions that natively supported the position the System Tray icon needs to be inverted from how it is currently: To be clear: Currently: Tray closed - Arrow points
First, sorry for flooding the forums. Just trying to split out my initial post into separate threads as was requested by the mods. I've nearly gotten through all of the original topics. For this one: I really like the Windows Pro Start Menu. I know us "toppies" are fairly uncommon (at least according to Microsoft
Woops... I meant to test if disabling that would prevent the issue once I found a repeatable way to trigger the issue, but it took me long enough to do so that I forgot about doing that and just went right to making a post >> Disabling that option on the VM at least does seem to have prevented the issue when performing the same above steps shown in the GIF and video. I have also disabled the option on my host system and will keep an eye out to see if the behavior

Thanks for bringing this to their attention. Just curious, did you test with the taskbar on top AND Start11 autohide enabled? Although I showed I have autohide turned on in my system configuration section, I did not highlight that in my post body. I just tried this out in a relatively fresh VM and was able to confirm that the issue does not present from simply having the taskbar on top, but rather having it on top AND with autohide enabled (as well as confirming that it occurs on anot

I wasn't actually using that one, it was just for demonstration purposes... yet, yea, I completely missed it had size variants hahaha. Can't believe I missed that, and thus I totally missed that the dimension actually affected the positioning and the image simply wasn't resized to a fixed area. It took some trial and error to get the spot just right and avoid stretching, but I ended up with an icon that was just right in terms of positioning and size (with the goal of matching the sta

Glad I can finally post again as I've had a lot of trouble with Start11 after migrating from Windows 10 + Start10 (fresh install to be clear). I know as third-party software I cannot expect it to be perfect, but my current experience has been particularly rough. Not sure if there is a better place to report bugs, but these are all of the problems I've run into. System Windows 11 24H2 (26100.3775) Pro
