2.71 fixed the upside-down network icons on both of my computers, and when I disconnect the dock from the laptop, the wi-fi icon shows up in the place of the wired icon. Thanks.
Two questions: 1. Do you have anything else installed on your PC that could be effecting the behavior of your taskbar? 2. After you see the icon appear upside-down, try to Restart the process of Windows Explorer from Task Manager (as in the image below). Does this make it appear normal again?
1 - nothing but S11 2 - that worked, until I rebooted it...
No. I'm not doing sandboxing or clean boot stuff.
I removed S11, told it to delete settings & reinstalled it, then the only change I made was put the taskbar on top. The icon was right-side-up..... until I rebooted it. Now it is upside-down again.
1. Save your Start11 settings to a file, reset them to the default, and restart explorer to see if the issue persists (can also try a restart of the PC to be more thorough):
That worked; when I defaulted it, the taskbar was set to Windows 7/Windows 7, was on the bottom and the icon was right-side up. Then the only thing I changed was to put the taskbar on top. The icon was right-side-up until I rebooted - the taskbar
Loaded 2.7 today, immediately noticed an appearance bug. The wired network icon is upside-down. If Wi-Fi is turned on, the Wi-Fi icon does not show up in its place. Windows 7 menu/Win 7 submenu. Taskbar on top. Windows 11 25h2. And on another computer that connects only via Wi-Fi, that icon is upside-down too. (Same settings & W
This is still happening occasionally in 2.55. Note the search box is at the bottom of this picture. It still works.
With the Windows 7 task bar on top, the search box sometimes (rarely, actually) shows up at the bottom with v2.53. It works too, just type in whatever and hit enter and it works as it should.
I don't understand. when I click on the box now, usually the larger menu shows up, then I type something in that search box and it works. Sometimes I have to click twice though to get the larger menu to show up.
Well, it sort of works. I sometimes have to click twice in the box. One click and the box disappears (but nothing shows up in it's place) and another click in that same area then works. Regardless, this is the result:

New Start11 user here. I just got a brand-new Dell with Win 11 on it (26100.4061) and noticed a problem with Start 11 related to top-mounted taskbar and the search box. It's set to Windows 7-style task bar. Start11 v2.51. Normally, it looks like this: But when you start typing in the search box,it looks like this: <im
I did some procedure found here to delete and reinstall it, that didn't fix it.
I just downloaded Start10 for Win 10 64-bit and whenever I click on the Settings entry, I get the "Mouse Properties" displayed instead of Settings.
