After messing around for 100 hours (it seems), I did an easy workaround for transferring files from Primary to Secondary. I set up "Nearby Sharing" and am able to copy any file(s) I want without using Multiplicity. All the other MP features work just fine, and now I can use this as a sub for C&P or D&D from P to S. Still have no idea what is causing the problem, or how to fix it. If anyone else has the same problem and a solution is found, please let me know. Tha

I'm going to do an uninstall, purge, and reinstall again (with reboots in between each). Then I'll run the MPPortFix batch file, reboot again, and see what happens. If it doesn't work after that, then I guess I'll just live with it. I've put way too much time into this problem as it is.

Not too sure I can do that on my Primary. I did a clean boot on it some time ago and everything got screwed up because of the UEFI. I had to restore the drive from a recent disk image I had. I could try it on the Secondary, if that would do anything. I would assume it wouldn't since the problem is from Primary to Secondary.

I purged both computers and reinstalled it as per the instructions, and it works fine now except for one thing: I can't drag & drop, or copy & paste from my primary to the secondary, but it does work from secondary to primary. All my Multiplicity settings are as they were when it did work, so I'm at a loss. I'll research it and see what I can find. Thanks! As an update add-on, I tried everything in this article to no avail: <a href="https://forums.stardock.com/

I haven't gone through the purge yet, but found out that after uninstalling ZA and leaving Windows Defender Firewall turned off on my secondary, Multiplicity works just fine. So I'm assuming the problem lies in the Defender settings on the secondary. I'll check them out and see if I can find which ones I need to change. Any ideas on that? Thanks!

My primary is a desktop running Win11Pro x64 using Defender AV and firewall. My secondary is a Win10Pro x64 laptop that was running an old version of ZoneAlarm. I decided to uninstall the ZA and stick with Defender on the laptop, but after removing ZA and rebooting, my primary could no longer connect to the secondary. When I tried to connect, I would get the error message that the secondary was not turned on, the network was down, firewall wasn't configured correctly, etc. I rebooted both mac

I should mention that only the secondary PC has to have the MP service restarted, not the primary or both of them. (Tried to post this yesterday, but kept getting errors.)

I have tried everything in the link you provided in an earlier thread, all to no avail other than giving me an ulcer :-( I don't know what's causing the problem, and have not been able to fix it, so I put a band-aid on it and continue on. MP starts on both PC's, but my primary just refuses to connect to my secondary, whether it's through ethernet or wifi until the MP service is rebooted.

I created a task in Task Scheduler and delayed running the batch file I wrote by 3 minutes after user logon, and it works. Pretty simple band-aid since I start my PC's in the morning and go make my coffee, and when I get back, it's all good. I'll use that fix until I hear something back from Stardock that actually works. Hope this helps someone.

I, too, am running the latest versions of Multiplicity and Windows 10, and am having the same problem. I've had Multiplicity since it was Edgerunner, and it's worked fairly consistently through all my versions of Windows until the latest upgrade. My primary and secondary PC's are on the same trusted network and subnet, and have Trusted permissions in my firewall (ZoneAlarm, which I've also had for years). It makes no difference which PC I start first, or at the same time, my pri

Thanks for your reply! With "Wrap around the grid" enabled, the cursor will return from the right side of my primary monitor, but not from the left (primary is on the right, secondary on the left. It's set up that way in the lay-out grid also). That's an improvement over not being able to return at all, but still not correct. I set up a hotkey that will return the cursor to the center of my primary screen. I'll let you know how that works the next time it locks up. Tha

Hi all! I have Multiplicity3 KVM (licensed) running on a desktop PC (Primary) and a laptop (Secondary). I have them both connected to the same network via cables, although the same problem occurs when using wireless on the laptop. What happens is I'll start both computers, and when I do anything on the secondary using the primary mouse that takes some time, the mouse pointer remains on the secondary without being able to come back to the primary. If I unload Multiplicity
