Synaptics touchpads work for 2 finger scrolling in fences. Elan do not. This is just in my experience. There could be plenty of exceptions.
As I think I said twice before, it would be good if they would get the ones with Elan touchpads working like the ones with Synaptics touchpads. Lenovo with Synaptic works great to two finger scroll in fences. Elan touchpads of the Asus and Razer (Microsoft? or Razer Pro? is the driver? ...anyways) for instance don't scroll inside the fence. This is working as you said just fine with the external mouse.
Some computers have it some don't. All computers do the 2 finger scroll on webpages, file managers, text editors, apps and softwares, etc. However there are some computers which do not have 2 finger scrolling in the fences. Namely Asus and Razer Blade. I think it may be a difference in the touch pad drivers where Elan do not. However the Elan touch pads do scroll on most apps as I said in the first line. Synaptics touch pads seem to have no problem

This has been a long week of Asus touchpad problems, but the two finger scrolling in fences does noooooooot work only with the Asus hardware touchpad. Since Stardock has some expertise in programming desktop fences is there anyone who can help me discover if there is maybe a registry key that deals with desktop and scrolling on the desktop? Just as before I am having the problems with the Elan touchpad and not with the external bluetooth keypad/touchpad which works on the desktop
Probably an Asus driver fault since it works with a bluetooth keyboard in the asus.
Hi, I also am having a scrolling issue on two Asus computers while this function/feature works in our Lenovo: the scrolling inside the fences with two finger gesture is the feature I am speaking of. It looks as though the fences will be limited to only 1 year because I chose the Object desktop. Anyone verify this? So far I can't say as I've needed the object desktop. And I did just come here for fences. (bought it Sunday, 3 days ago). So in the interest of not having my fences suddenly disappear in a year, am looking to refund the object desktop in favor of only getting fences permanent license. Anyone know about this?
