I had smiliar issues with groupy. I did uninstall all extra tools like "winpaletter" or "wallpaper engine" to test if this has impact to my system / groupy 2 and installes some stuff step by step again. Try and error. Also I did uninstall "groupy 2" and installed it once again. Take a look if you have two installations of it in windows apps. At the end it helped me to have a smooth running system.
