Start11 | does not start

from Stardock Forums

The following problem occurs to me:

 

Win 11 does not adopt the settings from Start11, it remains with the standard Windows user interface.

 

No setting of Start11 has any effect to the system but the activation of the seconds in the clock e.g.

 

 

 

What I tried:

 

- Uninstalled 2.07 and reinstalled it, several times

 

- Uninstalled 2.07 and installed 2.06

 

- Did 2 times an Inplace Upgrade, also with an uninstalled Start11

- Did try a "cleanboot". | https://forums.stardock.com/524045/page/2/#replies

 

--> nothing helped.

 

Edit:

I remeber that I had explorer_patcher installed.

As i wanted to uninstall it again, I hit following button before I finally uninstalled it:

This means, as far as I understood, that the registry will restore but with additionell lines which wasn´t there before?!

Could this be the problem?

 

 

 

Is there a tip what else I can do?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can not tell you why it don't work on your system. But, you mentioned explorer patcher. That could be it and that warning came from Explorer patcher, came when you tried uninstall it? Maybe you can try those uninstaller software to clean it up or Registry checker to help.

The result is now, that I reinstalled win 11.

Now everything works so far...I´m testing right now.

One question is still there:

Why can´t you use the "scaling" tool not anymore in the icon menu?

Is is a bug from the beta maybe?

That is disabled because you do not have a custom tile image.

That is disabled because you do not have a custom tile image.

Please try any shortcut and change the symbol via the settings of it.
This is a standard icon from the Windows list.

That don't look like custom image. That is an icon. Try this image. Image taken from the web. Its a png file.

Thanks for your effort!

If I use a custom tile image this option is activated.

I was very shure, that I used this option without a custom image an earliere version before....<_< >_>
