Hi. I got another CursorFX problem, this time with the hotkey. I use Ctrl-Shift-C with other programs where the hotkey can't be configured, so I need to disable it in CursorFX. That seems fine, I go into settings and backspace the hotkey so it says 'None'. That disables it, but after some time it reactivates the hotkey and when I check it's changed back to Ctrl-Shift-C in the settings dialog. Hi. Ah sorry no it's not a normal middle button like on most mice. It's a button that is on every Lenovo Thinkpad laptop as far back as I remember. They have this trackpoint thing in the middle of the keyboard, and a middle button in between the left and right buttons. When the button is held down, the trackpoint behaves like a scroll wheel. The Lenovo mouse software / driver temporarily changes the pointer to show that it's scrolling, then changes it 'back' when it is release
Hi. It was only one icon in my case so I just deleted it. The workaround says it's for network shortcuts that aren't available, in my case the share has always been available. Since I identified the issue I have tested it on a couple of other computers and it seems Fences just doesn't like network shortcuts at all, whether available or not. Maybe that workaround list should be updated to advise this. I get that there would be a delay when unavailable, but it should onl

I get that 'icons above windows' has been requested to death one way or another but I'm sure it's possible. The question is would it step outside the purpose that Fences was designed for, because coding for this would dramatically change its function from 'desktop icon organiser' to an app with Explorer-like functionality that provides a complete desktop replacement . Hi Basj, thank you for forwarding the info to your support team. I think I've figured out what's going on. Fences doesn't seem to like shortcuts to network locations, even if the location is valid. On my desktop there is that 'Share [Media]' shortcut which is a UNC path. The path is accessible but for some reason it causes the problems in the video. Hijacking this thread a year late to say that the dreaded refresh issue has been a standard Fences feature for me over the years, since v2 on Win 7, v2 on Win 10, and now v3 on Win 10 - I really hoped v3 would fix the issue but it didn't. When I click refresh or press F5, the fences are still visible but all desktop icons disappear (folder portal icons are still visible) and the desktop freezes for 20 seconds. If I click on the desktop then it turns white and after another 20 seconds
This is my wishlist for v4, based on experience from a minimum of 11 computers I've installed Fences v3 on since Win 10 was released. 1 - Make Fences load faster after login. MS has done a good job of making Win 10 login a seamless experience (not just on a clean install like old Windows versions). Login is really smooth and a usable desktop appears in 1-2 seconds, even after installing many other startup programs. That is until I install Fences. Then it adds an additional 15 seconds
Hi. I have a small but annoying issue with CursorFX on a Thinkpad. They have this middle button on them that enables scrolling with the trackpoint when the button is held down. It changes the mouse pointer to some kind of scroll indicator, which probably comes from the Lenovo software because it's not one of the standard Windows pointers. Hi. Sorry if this is already a known bug. I have three folder portals, two showing Classic Icons and one showing Details. When I open an application, the portal in Details view will draw over applications on the screen. Also the desktop will become the active application so I have to wait for the application to load and then remember to make it active before doing any work. Hey, I've been playing with Curtains for a few weeks but only just noticed these feedback threads. I think you've made some awesome software here but it's too easy to break the themes! Please tell me if I'm being oblivious but I did look around and can't see this feature ... it would be really good to have a way of reverting themes back to their original config. On more than one occasion I've been editing a theme and messed up. So I click one of those 'Reset to default' button
