There seem to be many other people getting r undll32 UAC prompts for random things. Aside from Fences, I also get UAC prompts when trying to 'Eject USB' (right click on the portable drive and eject), or when trying to flash an image using balenaEtcher , or formatting an external microSD with SD Card Formatter . <p
I used to have an Nvidia graphics card, but changed it for an AMD sometime last year. I didn't have any issues with fences while having Nvidia. Although I went through each service and task scheduled after changing the graphics card and made sure that Nvidia was removed, there is still the probability that Nvidia might have altered some registries on its way out.. I also just done a windows repair install to hopefully account for the above, but rundll32 still had the shield on
I have the exact same problem as the OP: 2x rundll32.exe prompts after boot (and none after clicking Yes to both, until the next boot). I first noticed it around this time, last month. The PC restarted (it may have installed some windows updates at the same time, not sure), and ever since then I get these 2 prompts. If I give admin rights to Fences, I get even more UAC prompts every few minutes for things like automatic backups, trim logs, etc. C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe
