Start a game on any of the standard maps...look at your homeworld, and look at the planetary improvements...if you can build social or industrial specialization (they'll be the options in the bottom right) then you definitely have the DLC working...if you can't actually build those specializations, then you don't have the DLC enabled...
Yes! I can actually click on both Social and Indust
What you already looked for...you should see "Forbidden Worlds" in the bottom right... You could also see if you even have the planets...go to the Map Designer (under Singleplayer) and see if you can get a system to spawn with some of the new planet types...preview the system and see if they actually appear in game....
Thanks... nothing there for me except the version. Steam thinks I have paid
Thanks... reinstalling is what I'm trying now. Will report on progress. In the meantime... can you answer my question about How do you know if you have it, once inside the game? What do I look for? UPDATE: no luck, or so it seems. I deleted, reinstalled, and ran the game again. I still don't see "Forbidden Worlds" below the 1.51.4787 on the front page.
I'm having a bad day. I bought and activated Forbidden Worlds DLC, but I don't think I have it! I launched Sins and nothing special happened (no prompt for Stardock login as expected) and Sins looks exactly like before. No mention of "Forbidden Worlds" anywhere. This is the first DLC I've ever bought, so not sure what to expect. I have Sins v1.51.4787 and the Sins changelog said if you own FW you should see "Forbidden Worlds DLC" below the version
Well, I managed to turn off Norton Insight, and downloaded the patch again... AND NORTON DELETED IT AGAIN! So I had to completely disable Norton AntiVirus to get it to leave the file alone. From the report above, there were no viruses detected... just seems like not enough people have applied this patch to suit Norton! :)
What is really a shame is... I can't find any way to restore this file! From all appearances, Norton is just "concerned" that the file MIGHT be bad, and just automatically trashed it! Seems like there should be a way for me to OVERRIDE that decision, or at least... reverse it? Any ideas on how this Norton Insight works, or how I can turn it off?
OK, I found the data on the file. Norton rates the file with a "Reputation: BAD" and says the following... Full Path: f:\downloads\web\fallenenchantress-0.952_update_setup.exe ____________________________ ____________________________ On computers as of: 9/5/2012 at 11:48:34 PM Last Used: 9/5/2012 at 11:50:34 PM Startup Item: No Launched: No ____________________________ ____________________________ Few Users
Tried to download the 0.952 update to my 0.950 installation... and Norton 360 Insight REMOVED it from the computer before I could even run it! I can't even find the info about this file now, so it's been removed. It had some kind of a "WS.Reputation.1" virus or something like that. Any ideas if it has a problem of some kind?
Cyan, I just went through a similar issue with my copy of E:WOM. In my case, I had a retail boxed copy and Impulse had taken over the registering and installation of WOM. What happened with me was... when I registered WOM with Impulse, my account on Stardock Central was not automatically updated. So SD did not have any way of knowing that I owned WOM, nor did they have any way of checking for eligibility of a discounted FE. If you go to "My Account" here on SD and cl
Just wanted to update the forum to say... Stardock took care of everything! They got my E:WOM and E:FE both registered with Stardock so there's no more problem! As someone else mentioned above, I did install the game after Stardock moved stuff to Impulse.com, and I probably should have taken it upon myself to IMMEDIATELY re-register the game with Stardock even though it was registered with Impulse.... but it never dawned on me that there would be a problem later with FE, or th
I just played my first session of FE, and it's amazing! Really love the graphics, the feel, the look, the scope. Can't wait to play more! I just have one "complaint" to wager against the game so far, and it's an inconsistency between the Research menu and several of the other menus. Bear with me here as I explain what I mean. During the tutorial I believe the first thing you have to do is build an improvement in the city. This was my very firs
If you registered only on Impulse after it was bought by GameStop, then it was probably just never registered with us; the databases were split back last spring. If so, all you should need to do is re-register it here. That should happen on a fresh install of the game, but if not, contact support@stardock.com and they should be able to help.
Actually, I did contact Stardock, and they were kind enough to issue me a new code
Are you sure you're using the same account? If you contact support@stardock.com, they should be able to help track it down.
Yes it's the same account on both SC and Impulse. When I installed and played E:WOM the registration ended up only on Impulse.com, and not Stardock Central. I can still logon to Impulse and see my serial # and everything for WOM... just not on Stardock. As of today, I can see every
My wife bought me E:WOM for Christmas 2010, but because of the negative hype, and I played other games first, I didn't install/register the game until 2011. Whatever. Anyway, I wanted to see my discount for FE and it says... $0! Full price! What is up with that? When I installed/registered E:WOM it showed up and registered on Impulse. I just re-installed Stardock Central and it shows ZERO of my old Stardock games there? What's up with that?</p
I've seen references occasionally about getting a free expansion for Elementals. I got Elementals as a Christmas gift, but I haven't installed it because of the bugs, and don't want to until they're fixed. Will I be unable to get this free expansion when I install the game because I'm waiting for patches? Thanks.
Practically every time I login yet-another update/patch to GalCiv II is installed on my PC... yet I have *never* seen a single document that describes what these patches contain! New features? Bug patches? Who knows! I've scoured the forums and the website and my harddrive for answers but none are to be found. Can someone tell me where to find out what these updates have done to my game? Thanks!
I couldn't wait for Best Buy to get DA in stock... but when I saw it was a "gold" edition I was really mad. Now I see there is absolutely no plans for a retail box version of the add-on? I can wait for the gold edition to drop to bargain bin price before I'll buy.
