Installed Deskscapes 2026 no backgrounds will load. Rebooted three times testing after each reboot, still nothing. Win11 26220.8474. Was working fine before upgrading to 2026.

Binary Fortress' Display Fusion app does this for static wallpapers, allowing separate scaling and positioning of each monitor to make it look like one coherent image. It's a rather fiddly thing to set up but it works. That's why I don't use DreamScapes on my multi-monitor systems. Despite using the rest of the Stardock Object Desktop suite since Windowblinds starting 1998.
Never mind I figured it out. Was using Pin folder, instead of Pin folder menu.
I'm at a loss. I recently had to rebuild my main PC, and now a couple of the previously working pinned folders, ones the used to open as menus no longer do so. Not all of the ones I have configured but only some of them. Ideas? Things to try? The Open as menu options has zero impact on the problem for any problematic folder. All folders contain only shortcuts to applications.
I will double check all my settings. Thanks for the responce
Thanks for the idea, but already did that and that isn't it either. I go to the primary machine and seemingly randomly I get a notification it has connected to one of both of the remote machines without me having initiated anything. Do I need to always shutdown Multiplicity when not in use? I think it launches on boot.
Thanks for the assist.
It is not selected. Is that setting different on the remote machine, ignored when set on the Primary?
I have two remote machines and I want to be able to stop Multiplicity from auto connecting because it stops the remote machines from going to sleep. Is there a way to stop this from happening?
IU did an uninstall, reboot, reinstall and then instead of using the email registration, I did a new license using the activation code from my Stardock account and it worked fine. I suspect there's an older license for Multiplicity, far older version, tied to my email address, so when I used the code it by-passed that out-dated license information. thanks for the quite quick reply!
Yesterday my Multiplicity install prompted for re-registering. I own M4-Pro. Now all the Pro features are grayed-out. Machine is set to primary. I have 4.0.1.1 installed, unfortunately I cannot recall how close that upgrade and this problem are in when they manifested. It was not directly after the upgrade, but somewhat close.
Found it...never mind.
In the past I have setup different pinned item on different monitor's taskbars. I want to add a new shortcut to the small list of icons on the secondary monitor. Now I cannot find how I did that in the past. I'm running Start11 2.52.3. Though previous secondary-only icons were an earlier version of Start11. Probably an earlier beta, but I am not sure. Sorry about that. I'm also running Windows11 26100.3775.
Understood. It did not, by the way fix my symptoms when I tried it. I'm not sure what fixed the problems frankly because I ended up rebuilding my Win11 install for a second time yesterday and this round it worked without a hitch from the beginning. I do wish I knew what broke it before so I could share the example, but alas...
Microsoft strongly recommends against disabling IP6.
Windows 11 24H2 build 10.0.26100.2161. Start11 2.49.1. Two monitors, primary is a 3860x1600 with top horizontal tasbar and secondary is an older 1080p with left side vertical taskbar. When I set the "resize taskbar toggle, it is not applied and it does not stay set. Close out reboot or restart Explorer go back in and the toggle is back to the off position. When it is on I get a resize cursor on the vertical taskbar but it doesn't do anything. When I try on the primary with the hori
I had added these suggestions to another post I made thanking y'all for the pinned folder as menu function, but here is the list since this is probably the better place to put them: It works like a charm, though finding the icons I was using in TLB has been a bit of a challenge. So some suggestions: It would be helpful to make this pin folder as menu function to allow for graphic file formats such as what Icon Packager accepts. In fact a new Icon Packa
So for years I have used True Launch Bar as a supplemental menu on my vertical taskbar in Windows; for a VERY long time. I've actually been refusing to go to 24H2 because this function is lost after significant portions of the code that Explorer Patcher re-enabled was removed from Explorer. Suffice it to say my particular neurodivergence was really negatively impacted by this small thing. This morning as I was once again telling the upgrade to not apply, I went back to go over the
Now I just feel stupid. Thanks. I never go to that page to get downloads as I always just use the ODNT App for that. I'll downloading it now, and as as soon as StartIsBack lists the 24H2 preview as supported I'll do an upgrade and give it a go. Thanks for the "lesson."
I have an ODNT subscription and not a stand-alone DeskScapes. So my account page does not show a DeskScapes download at all. Thew version in the Object Desktop Insider app is 11.0.1, 11.0.2 does not show up in it.
I'll walk that statement back. What I found was that with Start11 loaded Explorer Patcher's config screens, from right-clicking the taskbar weren't appearing. I've since rolled the Win11 update back for now as too many things are broken, again.
Thanks...The 24H2 from preview channel is admittedly a mess. Other things it broke include some functions of Start 11 and even more importantly (and not surprisingly) Explorer Patcher no longer functions as it did with the previous release preview update. So I'm guessing they have "fixed" more things in the lower level UI code this go around. Though I guess it would have probably hit the other Insider channels prior to this. Anyway I just wanted to share what I found. For now so ma
I know it is not yet supported. I'm not trying to get support, I'm trying to share my results of various Stardock applications on Windows 11 24H2 (10.0.26100.712). So far Deskscapes 11.0.1 beta runs as an application but it does not manage the wallpapers, leaving only a black scene when it is used to set walls. Removing and reinstalling does not help.
A week or so ago I discovered that Cursor FX was no longer running on boot. I had to force it to run as admin to work again, but of course the pauses every boot process until I click the UAC prompt. Digging a bit more today I discovered that the certificate for CursorFX has long since expired.
