For others that read this post as time goes by, Basj's first reply was right on and the quickest way to find your fences if they disappear. Most likely they have gone to a 2nd virtual "fences" desktop (Alt-Left/Right). So disaable "Desktop Pages" within Fences settings area, and your Fences/Icons will come back.

btw, I had a similar issue (desktop computer, non-touch screen), but solution was just the apposite from above. I often use Display Settings (Win10) to disconnect and then later extend desktop (re-connect) monitors due to performance issue (live stream issues). And when I do this recently (maybe an update of Fences did this) but Desktop Pages was Enabled (I don't use this feature, but now it's Enabled). And what was happening is that when I disconnected a monitor, my Fences
Certainly if both computers have the exact same username and path for each shortcut, then what you mention is simple. If not, then I'm stumped as to how you'd synch shortcuts (that have specific paths associated with them) synced accross 2 computers where the paths don't match. But if you do have exact same User name, life should be good with drobbox (etc.). Add your desktop as one of the sync folders. Initially it will be messy if you already have shortc
Several others have asked this question but I've seen zero reply from StarDock. Maybe I can ask a bit differently. What particular file would I need to sync in order to get the same layout on each computer. Please note, all files that I keep on the deskop are synced to the cloud and therefore in directories that are identical on both computers (also, the same drive: C). I use both DropBo
Would be great if Stardock posted a solution. I am on Windows 7 and 8.1 and am experiencing the same problem. For me it's not consistant, but crops up once a day (or so). I've been using Fences for 5 years, so I know this is new - it's never happened before. Otherwise, awesome as always.
