One fence has disappeared from desktop

Hello,

One of the fences has disappeared and I can't locate it. It is not on my second screen. Some of the fences are sometimes on the edge of my screen with icons not displayed but I can move the fence and see them. But this fence has completely disappeared.

What can I do to retrieve it?

Thanks.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. You can try to restore your last 3 days fences backup snapshots. Go to Fences setting -> Layout & snapping -> Layout snapshots pick your last good layout and click the "Restore Snapshot" button.

If the fence is missing, please recreate it and save the snapshot. That snapshot will be save permanently and won't be overwrite by the daily snapshot save by fences.

Thank you,

Where are the icons that were in the fence?

I don't care about the fence, I only care about the icons.

Thanks,

I can't not answer you that, since I do not know what happened to it. Maybe it was accidentally moved to the 2nd or 3rd desktop pages? You do know that fences auto-create Desktop pages if the fence move beyond the edge or the screen. If you unsure. Please go to the Fences setting -> Desktop Pages -> there is guides there on how to use Desktop pages.

Quick check : Turn off Fences and see if all you icons appeared on the desktop. If it is there. I am pretty sure the missing fences just moved to the 2nd Desktop pages.

Thank you,

The desktop pages function wasn't enabled, it wasn't checked.

I turned off Fences and found the missing icons.

Complete mistery...

Thanks anyway

btw, I had a similar issue (desktop computer, non-touch screen), but solution was just the apposite from above.  I often use Display Settings (Win10) to disconnect and then later extend desktop (re-connect) monitors due to performance issue (live stream issues).  And when I do this recently (maybe an update of Fences did this) but Desktop Pages was Enabled (I don't use this feature, but now it's Enabled).  And what was happening is that when I disconnected a monitor, my Fences on that page would go to a different virtual Fences desktop (Alt Left/Right).  And again, I don't use this feature and don't want to.  Key Clue: When I went into Fences Settings (Color & Appreance) I could see (pull-down) that all Fences were still "somewhere".  But when I disabled Desktop Pages, they all appeared again.  Easy fix...
