Unable to open folders in fence folder portal

I recently reinstalled Fences 2.13 on a new computer. I have been using it for quite a while. With this install, I am now unable to open folders that are located in the Fence Folder Portals. I can open them by right clicking and selecting open, but double clicking does nothing. Files in the folder portals open without issue when double clicked. I've searched for settings for this and I've been unable to find any that would impact this.

This problem appears to be similar to the one that I documented (Shortcuts within windows do not work) on September 8.  Recently I began experiencing a problem where shortcuts within a fence stopped working.  I would double click the icon and the screen would go blank.

Would be great if Stardock posted a solution.  I am on Windows 7 and 8.1 and am experiencing the same problem.  For me it's not consistant, but crops up once a day (or so).  I've been using Fences for 5 years, so I know this is new - it's never happened before.

Otherwise, awesome as always.
