Having used Start11 for a about a year now, would there be more customization for the "All Apps" menu? The Windows 11 styled menu in Start11 doesn't have any options to organize or even customize it. Would you be able to give different icons / labels for custom locations? For example, if I were to make a "Work" folder that I'd li

Back in Start10, all Win Store Apps would be within a folder called Universal Applications when you look at all shortcuts within the All Applications section of the Start Menu. In Start11, all Win Store apps are just directly linked within the All Applications section. I like to keep the <span style="text-decoration: und

Can there be a way to change the icons and text that displays when hovering for a shortcut. Referring to the ones added from Start Menu -> Configuration -> Shortcuts List . The text used by default is overly long and some use the same text, like for Control Panel and Settings . Within Start10's Start Menu, is there some option that can be changed or even some file to be edited that would allow the labels underneath a pin to not be displayed? While I could replace the pinned shortcut's text with an invisible character (like Alt 255), it still keeps the space added from where the text would go.
Is there any way to remove an app from that section in the Start Menu? Specifically, I want to remove the "Windows Defender Security Center", due to it being too long of a name and since I don't use it. If I remove it from the menu version of Universal Applications, then it just creates a new shortcut (though setting it to "Hidden" works), but I can't get rid of it from the Start Menu's folder for it. Unlike every other app, I cannot right-click this one, so can't even open it

Its both minimal and uses a dark background, so yeah, pretty close. It doesn't touch the taskbar, doesn't touch the Min/Max/Close icons, and still using Start10 for the Start Menu. http://i.imgur.com/Vp55Pld.png
Doesn't even have to be the default one per-se, part of why I said a copy of the default to use as a base to edit since starting from scratch within SkinStudio ends up applying a lot of extremely outdated designs to areas untouched. Though ended up finding a theme called Penumbra10 (stock version) that was pretty close to what I wanted, but that uses UltraUXT so guess I wasted money on WindowBlinds. Only main caveat now is the lack of the Ribbon being skinned, but ultimately may just
Found some software (QTTabBar) that apparently used to allow recoloring of what I'm looking for, but with the updates to Windows 10 and the last update for the software being from 2015, it does not work like it should. So it does look to be possible, would be nice for WindowBlinds to incorporate something like this into it.
Though I prefer simple skins. Would rather not have the taskbar, titlebars, or anything like that changed out. From what I've seen, it tends to conflict with one thing or another in the end. Then to top it off... they just simply look outdated or too "cluttered", something more fitting of the XP / Vista era, with only the Stardock ones looking more "modern", but that's all only my opinion. Only want to change the bright white areas into something easier
Recently purchased WindowsBlinds for Windows 10 and was hoping to simply change the background color of Windows Explorer from its stark white to something a bit darker, but saw that the only way to customize anything was to either make a skin using SkinStudio (which applies a lot of aspects of much older Windows OS') or to edit a preset skin which changes much more than I'd like. Even the WinCustomize website is sorely lacking in anything recent for Windows 10. Is there
Count this another "vote" to having this be introduced as an option. Not upset over it not being in there currently, but it should be something in the future. In all honesty, only reason I bought Start10 was due to the screenshots which made it look like it an option available, so you guys might want to change them out as it definitely is misleading.
Will IconPackager ever be updated to Windows 8 or even any 64 bit version Windows? I had to add and change multiple keys in the registry in order to get my icons working, as well as change out a few icons in both imageres.DLLs, but will IconPackager ever work as it should? I would like to know before renewing my ObjectDesktop subscription since I would like everything to work as it should. The program hasn't even seen an update in over
hmm...It never used to do that before, and it was just after Windows 8.1 was released. The skin also doesn't affect the start menu (at least in a way that makes it different from Start8), and even looked "correct" when the picture wouldn't appear. How would I go about removing the user picture through Skin Studio? <span class="smarterwiki-popup-bubble smarterwiki-popup-bubble-active smarterwiki-popup-bubble-flipped" style="top: 119
It's only been doing this since Windows 8.1, but when Start8 is used in combination with WindowsBlinds, then the user picture is forcibly enabled for the Start Menu. I have checked the settings for Start8, and have made sure that the user picture is disabled, but for some reason it is being shown when I have WindowsBlinds installed. Is there any workaround available, or does this require an actual fix to be working correctly? </p
Still seems to break down at certain points. Icon Packager seems in need of an update, as live folders with data get reverted back, and some areas aren't skinned (USBs don't seem to get skinned, and user folders don't "stick").
-Win 8 Pro x64 -Firefox 23.0 -Object Desktop For some reason WindowBlinds8 doesn't seem to still be unable to skin Firefox correctly. If I skin it without any other settings, then when I have Firefox maximized the Min, Max, and Close buttons don't have their highlight effect that it normally would have, but having the window not maximized shows the correct skin (Win8 Metro in this case) just fine. Putting an exception for Firefox
For some reason, after I save a new package to replace my computer's icons, when I close the program they will change by themselves to different icons that would normally get used for something else (C Drive gets utorrent icon, Desktop gets Audio File icon, etc), and when I go to Icon Packager, I end up having to change many more icons than that to set them back to normal. Once that is done, it doesn't seem to stick, as then it gets worse than it was before.
So, it seems that my theme that I use for Firefox is the part that isn't letting it be skinned. So, if I just use the default theme, then I have no problem, and it uses the correct buttons, but if I don't, then it just doesn't work. But, it still seems that the Exclusion list doesn't work correctly, as it doesn't load the default skin for the exclusion list, it instead uses the extremely generic and old looking titlebar from the XP years.
I added Firefox to the exclusion list, and when I checked off to not skin it at all, it made it look completely broken. Then unchecked that, and set it up to use a specific skin, but disable the skinning of application controls, and that is the closest I have seen it to functioning correctly. The Precision skin seems to be close to the default, and the hover effect is very close to matching up to the actual buttons, and it looks normal when not maximized. <
