Ok, well the DLLs are up to date but the problem with the disappearing icons remains.

The exe in the file I just downloaded is still 0.5.0.0. Tried 2 installers now and both the exe files (Start10.exe and Start10_64.exe) are 0.5.0.0 and Feb 3rd.

Ok, downloaded from the store and the DLL is 1.0.0.0 now so Ill test it out and let you know if the icons are still disappearing. Ok, no dice, it's still happening.

Yah, it asked for a reboot. Ill uninstall and try it fresh. Thanks Neil :)

It says the file is Version 0.5.0.0, February 3rd 2015. The version of Start 10 is 1.0 - is it possible I need to do a full uninstall as 0.5.0.0 sounds old.

I thought 1.00 was supposed to be adressing this problem? It persists :(

The box is unchecked by default and I tested turning it on and off with no success.

Yah, I thought it might be related to that. The problem is that I really like my taskbar set to 'autohide' and I'd rather live with the missing icons than disable it :D The disappearing icons tend to happen right after the taskbar 'autohides'

It went away for a while but it has now returned, there doesn't seem to be any way to replicate it, it just happens. I tried unchecking Task view and it seemed OK, 30 minutes later and Edge had vanished again. Definitely seems to be something to do with Start10 as removing it solves the problem. I know it's early days so it's no big deal, hopefully someone will find a solution.

No it was coming and going but as I said in my edit above, it seems to have stopped on all machines and I can't figure out why, very strange.

All 64 Bit. Not using a shared login. 4 of them were upgrades and my Laptop was clean. Same problem on all of them. All I have to do to correct it is hit the 'show hidden icons' arrow. EDIT: It seems to have stopped happening now, not really sure why but I haven't seen it on any of the machines for over 10 minutes. This is extremely bizarre. I'll let you know if it returns and thanks for the prompt

Yep, 'show task view' and 'show search icons' are both checked. It's happening on 5 different machines here.

No, nothing installed that affects the taskbar. Install is English US Cheers PS: Clicking on the 'Show Hidden Items' in the system tray brings the hidden icons back, it's annoying but not the end of the world. PPS: It's not anything to do with Start8 as I just installed Start10 on a machine that never had Start8 on it and the same thing is happening.

Same here with 0.99, hiding Edge and Task View. I uninstalled Start 8 before doing the update and I have now gone and deleted any leftover folders but it's still happening.
