Windows 10, 64-bit, using Start 11. I went back to Windows 10 due to the Taskbar grouping issue. Forgive me if I've missed it, but I seem to remember Start 10 had a setting for turning off highlighting any recently installed programs. I can't seem to find that setting in Start 11. Thanks, Chuck

Have two computers. Both using Windows 10 and latest Start10 version (1.6.1). Both updated to the latest MS updates. One computer has the Windows Accessories folder in Start10, which matches the MS menu. The problem computer shows Windows Accessories in the MS menu, but calls it Accessories in the Start10 menu. I cannot simply rename the folder as it then disappears. Is there a way to get my 'Windows Accessories' folder back in the Start10 menu? The m
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Start10. That didn't work, either. [e digicons]>:([/e]
I don't think that's it. When I looked, the option was checked with a dark checkmark. I disabled it and restarted Start 10. Then I re-enabled it
Most likely a stupid question, but . . . In past versions (and computers), when I hovered the mouse over the arrow to the right of the 'Shut down' icon in Start 10, the sub menu would open and I could just click for 'Sleep', 'Sign Out', etc. This was a Windows 8.0, 8.1 and then upgraded to Windows 10 computer. My wife's Windows 10 computer works the saem way. But . . . I have a new computer, Windows 10 Pro 64 bit that the "hover function
Update: I installed Start10 V 1.05 and my "Immersive Control Panel" title is gone; being replaced by the proper title of "Settings". All is well. Thanks. Chuck
Pete, All I can say is for you to maybe start a new post to get the moderator's attention. Or, start a Support Ticket. I have received no help from either approach. I believe the Stardock folks think I'm nuts. [e digicons][/e] (And so do most of my friends. [e digicons]:D[/e] ) <span style="font-size: small;"
Sorry. C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs Chuck
If I understood your question, the path listed in the 'Settings' shortcut in 'All Programs' is: %windir%\System32\Control.exe Thanks Chuck
I would like to repeat a couple of things I said previously: 1. My 'Settings' link in 'All Programs' in named properly and working properly. So that isn;t the issue with me. 2. I, too, get a non-functioning link called 'Desktop' if I don't have a link called 'Immersive Control Panel' in the Program Files (x86) Start10 fol
Hey PerfectLight, I'm glad someone else wrote in. Tech Support (Sean) doesn't really believe me that it happened. They're sort of blaming me for it. And, yes, I have the 'Settings' shortcut in 'All Programs'. Chuck
While patiently waiting for a couple of promised fixes to Start 10 - including the 1.01 Beta version that keeps telling me there's an update available - that is the same file I have installed - I noticed something very strange. On the right side, my nice little display of things like 'Control Panel', 'Se
Well, Support got the 'Maximum Activations Exceeded' problem fixed. I never knew about the 'Deactivation' procedure. I guess I do, now. My problem remains - I cannot click and/or right-click a pinned icon and move it up or down the "list" of other icons. I have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled so many times I'm convinced that's not the answer. The previous version worked fine. However, if I now try to install that previous ver
Good suggestion but no cigar. I've uninstalled and tried reinstalled V1.45. I've uninstalled and tried reinstalling a couple of previous versions. Nothing so far has worked, and now I'm stuck with "Maximum Activations Exceeded". Still waiting for my request to support@stardock.com to be answered so I can try yet again. Any other ideas? Thanks Chuck
Windows 8.1, 64-bit, Start8 V1.45. I used to be able to click on a pinned icon and move it up or down, to set the order I wished. Now that I've upgraded to 1.45 I no longer can find a way to do that. The icons are listed alphabetically. Is there a way to change this, or should I just go back to an older version. Thanks, Chuck
Sorry. I had been reading about problems in earlier versions and . . . FWIW, Using Windows 8 Pro and an Intel Core 7. In past versions, I was able to move folders and files at will in the menu. For example, to simplify my Start Menu, I go to User/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs and create a folder called "Misc Programs". I then used to be able to move various Program Folders into the Misc. Programs folder, so I could "clean-up" the menu
Hi, Just upgraded to V1.16. Cannot move files of folders. When I try, a message says things like "+ Move **** to xxxx" but it never happens. Any ideas? Thanks Chuck
