oh its 100 percent totally understandable. I just figured I'd let people know. This isn't some kind of fault of Start11 or ExplorerPatcher - jsut the way it is :)

I just rolled back the update
also "explorer patcher" (win11, v1.0 start 11)
different issue, ignore.
****this was a different issue, sorry****
eventually I hope, but there is a workaround with another program. valinet | Advanced computer projects it will work alongside start11, but I would rather start11 handle it
Right now, if you add a custom link to the left side of the menu, there's no way to tell it apart from other file explorer links. Is there a way for it to inherit an icon from the original or to add your own?

I think I'm getting closer to figuring it out. The shortcuts of my portable programs reaper (jump list not working) was placed here: However, when I reinstalled under the program files menu, the shortcut was here: and now it

Recent files works on the taskbar, but not in the start menu as stated above
Taskbar labels still aren't like previous win versions in that you can combine and have them named per monitor, but I dont know if that's even planned: https://forums.stardock.com/507370/start11-taskbar-labels https://forums.stardock.com/507225/start11---never-combine-and-menu-s

Still cannot see recent files for programs which are installed outside of the program files folders. *Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.282) Win11 - program is installed here: C:\Portable Programs\Reaper (x64) reaper.exe (latest version, incremental upgrades since the beginning of when ive used start11) on the old win10 start menu, it would find recent files for this in the current start11 start menu, all other programs find recent items.
not sure if this has been noted, but programs installed outside of the typical program files folder don't have some of the features "open file location" and you can't see recent files opened by it
it seems it treats programs that are outside of the normal program files folder differently. You can't even get the "open file location" function to work
the windows 11 menu shows this too, so it could be a win11 problem
Ok, I found the issue. two of my programs are portable and not located in the program files folder. They do not display recent items, but typical installed programs do. This is what I get from the taskbar: and this is what I get from the icon on the start menu <img src="https://cdn.star
I apologize for wasting your time I will check later thank you so much for your work
I apologize, I keep doing this it's the Windows 10 start menu and I'm on win11
On win10, you could get all of the recent files opened by a particular program upon right clicking an icon - I don't see this in start11. Would be a nice feature, I use this often, actually :)
this is the windows 10 style menu
Hello, A couple of issues but probably more like feature requests: - can we change the color of the tiles to be darker? - the icons seem to be smaller than win10 start was, can we make them bigger? - when you pin something to the start menu, it puts it in the upper left, disturbing the order of tiles you already set - groups are really difficult to move around, and you can't really visualize where they move. They should show the tiles
The start menu seems to confuse icons, I have icons switching around, and i restore them by resizing
I really need this, I thought I just saw another thread on it, but this would be great
