Thanks for you response. After my 3rd reboot, all is well. Go figure. Must be the 3rd times a charm thing ... I'll keep your thoughts in mind in case it happens again. I wonder if there is a Start11 backup or configuration backup. I'll have to look. Thanks again ....
Good morning all! At least here it is morning ... Windows11 Start11 v2.55 I have the taskbar vertical and on the left side of the screen. This morning I get up and my task bar is empty. Nothing there, just the Start menu icon. Everything else is gone. I have auto hide on and bar slides in and out. Mouse click and right click on the taskbar do nothing. Mouse left click on the Start11 icon opens up Windows menu but nothin
Hello All ... Hope your day is going well. Windows 11 Start11 v2.55 My taskbar is placed vertical on the left side of the screen. In Windows 10, my tray icons went sideways as wide as the taskbar was and then continued on next row below. Currently, under Start11, they are in a single vertical row. Is there a setting to allow multiple rows of the open icons? Thanks for listening ... Bob
Yay! I found it. Thanks for helping me out. I want to study your graphic of Win10 task bar with shortcuts and tabs. There must be a section on shortcuts. Back to the manual and study! Thanks again. Bob
Wow! That is a lot for me to digest. I've downloaded the manual and will have to do some reading. Going to start my learning curve! We can end this thread or put it on pause. I need to find that button! Thanks Bob
Ugh ... Brain freeze I guess. I can't seem to figure out where to find the enhanced taskbar settings. Thanks for sticking with me to figure this out. Start11 is overwhelming with all the settings. I'll get it. Thanks Bob
Thanks for getting back with me. I have left aligned selected. Is there something else to check? Thanks Bob
Hello ... Windows 11 -- Start11 -- Task bar on the left side of the screen. I have this space on the task bar. How do I get rid of it and move the tasks toward the top? I just can't seem to find how. Thanks for listening. Bob
Thanks. I hope it gets done soon.
Just installed Start11. The tray is lined up single file and center. Where and how do I get these to line up horizontally. Thanks for listening ... Bob
Oooooops! I guess I don't know how to attach a screen print. I did a copy/paste. Sorry. I should just get off the forum. Bob
My apologies. I wish I had started this in the morning instead of doing it late and being tired. Wasn't making much sense. What I had working for me was a small icon and text on one line in the start menu. It looked like Win7. Small icons and text. Nice compact column. I cannot figure out I had Start10 configured to give me that. Start10 is set at 2 columns. Allocate room for 30 large icons. All of what you see in the scree
I meant to add or say. My icons are there but the text is underneath the icon, not across from it. It takes up far too much space that way. I want the icon to be next to the text or not at all. I hope some of this is making sense. Thanks Bob
Start10 Version 1.56 Windows 10 HP Laptop I'm wondering if I can just display text and no icons on Start10? I would prefer just a text listing without the clutter of icons. And more than one column if possible. I know, crazy, but it is what I am used to seeing. I have tried everything that I can find in configure Start10, but no success. Can someone tell me how to do it, or tell me I can't do it. Thanks ...
I want to spread my Start10 icons across the page. If I go more than 4 columns wide, I begin to lose the right hand menu of the Start10 screen. The bottom menu items stop showing up, for example, RUN, Windows Admin Tools, etc. Is there a way to force Start10 to open the full start screen, up and down, (in the Y axis)? This way the right hand Start Menu items would always show up. And I could go 6 columns or so and see all of the menu items. I am using s
I just seem to be going around in circles with this. I think I have clicked all the buttons, and maybe this can't be done. And, I don't know how to ask in the search. I don't like the white background in my Start Menu. In my case, the part with 5 rows. Any thoughts on how to make this dark? Also, I was wondering if I could suppress the text? Just show the Icon? I don't know how to insert a small picture into t
Does any one have any ideas on this? I used to have the arrow and drop down of previous files. Now, none of that shows. I can't find any settings for that. Thanks Bob
Thanks for the info ... Bob
I just downloaded and set up Fences. Cool! I wonder if there is a way to control the size of the icons in each fence? Can we make them smaller or larger? Thanks ... Bob
OK, I uninstalled the free version, cleared it all out. I reinstalled ODP, and it works just fine. I'm not sure that was mentioned anywhere in instructions, but no matter. OK now ... Thanks. The ticket # was NYL-256-81724 . I just had not heard back on the ticket in the 3-4 days since I posted it. It can be closed now. Thanks for the help on
Not silly at all! That was what I was going to try on the weekend. I guess I assumed (therein is part of the problem!) the the new would overlay the old. I'll do it and let the forum know. Yes, I did get a ticket number, right away. Nothing after that. Nothing in Spam either. Patience .... Thanks for the input ,,, Bb\bo
Hello all. I created a ticket for this with Stardock, but have not had an answer in 3 days. so i will try the forum. I tried the free version of OD. Liked it, so I paid for ODP. My first shot at is was good. It opened to ODP and I created several tabs and was on my way. I had to reboot for some other reason, and when my system came back up, I was back to the free version of OD. I can't find a Help/About to check for version # anywhere
