Not too sure. But, it look like its not Fences issue. From my test it maybe Winzip is changing those icons, but I am not too sure. Winzip do have option in it its setting for Desktop integration. But, not sure disabling it change anything. Thank you, Basj, Stardock Community Assistant
I tried to disable the option in Winzip but that doesn't solve it.

Now I can reproduce the issue: If you create a shortcut to a UWP app and remove the "- Shortcut" text. Wait a bit and open WinZip (which initiates a refresh of the icons) and the icons images are gone! Interestingly enough the icon images remain if you keep the "- Shortcut" text. Any ideas?

Fences Version 5.00 (Latest version) Windows Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.2715)
The images for shortcuts to store apps are dissapearing
To be sure I uninstalled Start8, but also then I get the same problem: "The program Explorer.EXE version 6.3.9600.16408 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed.". So it's not related to Start8.
I only use Start8 that worked fine for more than a year on Windows 8. Problems started directly after upgrading to Win 8.1 & Start8 v1.30.
When I disable the "Switch to desktop after closing a modern UI application" setting under Desktop, Advanced... it still goes to Desktop. Anybody else is having this issue?
Since upgrading to Windows 8.1 and Start8 v1.30 I have numerous freezes of my desktop. In those cases I cannot click a desktop item. When pressing alt-tab to switch to the desktop, after some seconds explorer restarts and I can access the desktop again. This happens multiple times a day. Anybody else is having this issue?
Big Thx Yvo!!
I do not like the custom start buttons or the ones at the gallery on WinCustomize at all. I'm also unable to extract the image from the current version. If anybody knows whrer to get or how to create the Windows Logo please let me know. Thx in advance! Cheers / A+
Can you please add the following features that are available in the "real" start button? Right mouse click on start: Explore Drag and drop icons from the all programs menu (and/or right mouse click on icon in all programs menu: copy) Thanks in advance
