EDIT: Did some testing and apparently the problem relates to software being pinned to the taskbar and they don't show up.
Yes, that is by design.

Yes, it will be when the corporate version is released (week maybe). For licensing, you would need a license for each real and potential seat. Meaning, if you have 50 unique users using Start8 on average, but could have 500 unique users, you need 500 licenses. You can get a quote here: https://www.stardock.com/enterpriseinformation/
Please make sure you are using the latest version of Start8, 1.40.1. If that fails please place a ticket here .
If you are getting the UAC, it is likely that you are running Fences 'As Administrator'. Make sure it is not: http://sd.stardock.com/sean/jingimages/2014-04-07_1035.png
And finally.... will my current multiplicity pro license work or do I really have to purchase a new license key?
Your Pro license predates even the current version MP2. That said, MP3 will be a paid upgrade with discount options for prior owners. The discounts have not yet been determined. I will forward your other items on to the developers.
If you still have the old router, does that work? On the new one, you are going to want to make sure these ports or open: Multiplicity Clipboard: 30565 Multiplicity Service: 30564 Multiplicity Audio: 30567 If that fails, please place a ticket at support@edgerunner.com
Is there a way to have a shared layout for all accounts on the local machine?
Not currently, no.
There is an internal ticket to have this looked at. We do not have a timetable for a resolution currently.

What tests have you done where you are certain it is a conflict with MP?
So, what should I do next? I can't stay with no Firewall.
MP will only add rules to Windows firewall so be sure that is all we are working with (no 3rd party firewalls). Remove all MP rules from Windows Firewall. look in the M's and S's as there could have been some placed in each over time. Uninstall MP, reboot, reinstall. Check the the new fir

Copy \ paste should always work. Drag and Drop too but some (rare) known issues are being looked into via an internal ticket. Whenever copy \ paste fails in any direction, it is almost always that the feature they are looking for is not enabled: http://sd.stardock.com/sean/jingimages/2014-03-05_0906.png Or there are firewall rules (lack thereof) that are p
It does work... http://sd.stardock.com/sean/jingimages/2014-03-05_0856.swf Check to make sure you do not have any non-default restrictions on your Standard account setting. And with ModernMix, you can pin it to the taskbar: http://sd.stardock.com/sean/jingimages/2014-03-05_0859.png

If you drag an exe from the actual install folder location (not a shortcut on the desktop) to the dock, do you still have issues with 64 bit links?
At this time, one cannot create a rule to send to a folder portal.
Did this get resolved? I may have the same or a similar issue. I usually have Firefox as my default browser, and run it in a Modern Mix window on the desktop. I was trying to help out my mother-in-law over the phone, and wanted to see IE the same as she was seeing it (in Modern UI), since IE looks completely different in those two modes. But, IE was always opening in a MM window. IE didn't appear (af
