The update you are probably referring to is stated in Object Desktop Manager. Its likely because of the .1 - its being fixed but if you have 3.08, you are good.

Under any accounts where audio fails (both where MP is a Primary or Secondary), and just as a test, totally disable Windows Firewall on each and for each connection type (Public, Domain, Private, etc): Also, if you have any other 3rd party AV products, disable them (again, as a test) completely.

While there are some apps that prevent grouping (a small minority and for reasons the devs could detail better), most should with standard Windows development practices. If you have an app already developed, and its not, can you provide more details? If you have not, it would be prudent to finish said app and test when done.
