I took a picture of what I'm talking about, but how do I post it?
Hmmm....I've not heard that. But I've not had the trouble before, and done it the same way in other skins.
Okay....I've not had this problem before with a skin, but this one I'm working on now is about to drive me crazy. I've imported an image in to use as the menu background on the pulldown menus, and the MS Menus. For some reason, it's not showing up. It says it's there in Skinstudio, and it shows in the window preview just fine. But when I actually apply the skin, the menus are all pinkish/white instead of silver, which is what they're supposed to be. I thought at first that maybe I didn't apply
I've had Vista installed for a few days and haven't noticed anything with Photoshop CS2 and InDesign. I just wonder if all of this will cause Adobe to raise the price even higher on CS3. If older versions aren't working correctly, this will make people have to buy the CS3. Sounds like a conspiracy to me!
Alain, I followed you up to the last part. I opened the SSD and the substyle manager came up, and I moved the one I wanted on the top up...but that's all it let me do.
I've named them all already. That's kind of the problem. They're all saved in the one main folder as subskins, but I want to make one of the subskins the main skin. I understand what you're talking about, but since I've already saved them, I couldn't quite figure out how to do that.
Hi all, I was wondering how you can take a subskin that you've been working on and make it the main skin? I started out making this WB skin with several subskins and have decided that the subskin better fits with the name of the theme. Is there an easy way (other than zipping the one skin by itself and importing the subskins into it?) to do this? This skin itself has 4 subskins. Hope this makes sense. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Tongue.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
Newest version of FF. No particular skin I'm trying to rate. None of them will highlight. It's just odd because it works just fine with IE. This is something that's just happened in the past few days. I've been using the same version of FF now for months and not had a problem before.
Well, it doesn't have the mouseover option where you can vote on a skin. I can get it with IE, but with FF, I just get the stars, no option to vote.
Has anybody noticed if you're using Firefox that the star voting/rating system isn't functional? It seems to work with IE, but not with Firefox.
I've tried to update my Deep Space skin now several times. The new .wba file shows up, but not the new screenshot. It's been offline totally now for a week or so and now it finally showed back up, but still with the old screenshot. I tried renaming the .jpg twice and sending it, and still that didn't work. Anybody have any idea what's going on?
Well, the old screenshot is there, not the new one that I sent. I can't tell about the file itself, if it's the new or old one. Though the update comments are there...
Well now I see that the old version is up again, but what's happened to the updated version?
Thanks, I appreciate that. I wasn't sure whether to send it again or not.
It was my Deep Space skin. Thanks. Hopefully somebody will check it out.
Just a quick question for anybody out there who might know. I submitted an update to one of my WB skin about a week ago and it's disappeared. The old version has disappeared off of the site and the new one hasn't showed up yet. When you do an update, do you have to change the name of a skin? Like call it version 2 or something for it to work? I sent mine with the same name and I wonder if I messed something up?
Because I could get as good a bevel on the image. I've used PSP for quite a few years and just recently have gotten Photoshop. The images come out crisper in Photoshop. I'm trying to erase the white background and resave them as PNG's. Then try and import them into SkinStudio. Hopefully it'll work. I appreciate your taking the time to try and help me figure it out.
Maybe if I save it as a PNG and then open it in Paintshop Pro....Hmmm...
Photoshop CS2
I did to start with, but apparently when it saved it, it merged layers and turned the background white. Do you know if there is a way to save layers without it making it white?
I don't want a translucent start panel, I just want the background to be invisible, the white part that you can see that isn't actually part of the start panel itself.
BMP. I just realized that. Is there a way for me to change it to convert it to TGA?
Hi all, I'm creating a new start menu for my Deep Space skin, but I can't get the alpha blending to work. I have the transparent/translucent checked, the background effects set at normal per pixel alpha..etc. But all I get when I apply the skin is the text on the start menu. I know this is probably something really stupid, but I'm at a loss. Can some really nice person point me in the
