Guess not. Still have the problem and it's been 4 months later. Oh well.
I can't get Windowblinds to work on Windows 7 either. I try to start the app and it just gives me the white screen, and Windows is Searching For the Problem..thingy. Such a shame because I used to make lots of skins and now I can't even get the program to work.

I know its Object Desktop because it only happens after I've used Impulse, or applied a new skin with WB. I haven't reinstalled Impulse yet, but I will try that. I've always had a bit of a problem with Impulse, even on other computers. I couldn't even use it on one computer I had. It would crash it every time.
Anyone else have this problem? I've had to run system restore three times in the last month and 1/2 after my computer would get stuck on the welcome screen. This happens after I've done something with the impulse, either installed a new program or checked for updates.

I'm looking forward to this. I've had Windows 7 on my computers for quite a few months now and I'm getting sick of the look of the standard OS. I'm wanting to get back into skinning again.

I've been slowly updating some of my skins for Vista, but I think I'm going to stop. I also think Vista is going to go the way of the Dodo bird rather quickly once the final version of Win7 comes out. So I don't see any point in updated something for an already half-dead OS.

You mean to set the bottom painting margin at 0 on the Places image? I only had it set on 1

Hi Neil. I made my parts the same size I always do, and content margins were the first thing I checked. Not sure what's up. It may just be a laptop problem. The widescreen seems to throw it off or something.

Yep, start menu the same size as I have made them in the past. The only thing I can figure is that maybe there was a problem with installation or something. I'm baffled.

They were testing it for me in Vista, since I don't have a Vista machine anymore. Both were using WB6. I'm just curious as to what would cause this. On one computer I could see something odd happening, but the same thing on two different ones?

I've sent a new skin I'm working on to several different people to test on Vista. In each instance the entire start menu moves about 2 inches over to the right, and the bottom is slightly behind the taskbar. Each one was on a laptop, and I don't know if that's the issue or not. Has anybody had this issue before? Is there something I can do as far as settings go in Skinstudio to fix this? Oh and btw, I'm creating the skins on an XP machine. Thanks!

I downloaded it last night and am using it now. So far so good. No problems with it except that it won't run Windowblinds. I have noticed that it's not such a drag on the system as Vista.

Both. I didn't want to decrease the resolution because it would decrease the quality of the image. It was only 72 PPI as it was. So I had to decrease the size. I tried making the entire image smaller, but that didn't decrease the file size enough. So I had to basically cut it in half. I had two images of an XP desktop and a Vista desktop on the screenshot and so I just took off the Vista image.
