Actually the save option in the current SKS6 builds does nothing at all.
How do you save the file you're working on then?

So it sounds to me that overall, people aren't very happy with 6 so far. I've been pretty happy with 5 up until now, but was hoping to get some more Vista skinning elements. But I don't want to have to switch back and forth between them. That's too bad. (:(
I've been using Skinstudio 5 for a long while now and have been wondering what people think of Skinstudio 6. I didn't like the Beta version of it at all, and was wondering if the Pro version is better? Are most people switching over to 6 and if you have, do you like it? I've been thinking of renewing my Object Desktop subscription but don't want to screw things up. :/
That's too bad. It would drastically cut down on the size of the WB file if you wanted to submit a tiled wallpaper with your skin instead of a full size one. I was confused about why it didn't work because in the settings under Desktop Wallpaper it says "one image tiled". That sounds like it would tile it.
I'd like to use a tiled wallpaper for one of my skins, and was trying to set it up in the Desktop Wallpaper section of SkinStudio. However, when I apply it, it stretches it, rather than tiles it. I can't see a way to change this. Is there a way other than going in my Desktop Properties on the computer and fixing it? I'd like it to apply correctly through Windowblinds. Thanks!
Well who knew? :) Thanks.
I just developed this problem in the past few days. When I install a skin, the window frames revert to classic. I thought at first it was something to do with SkinStudio, but even when I just apply a skin through the WB menu, it's doing it. What would cause this to happen all of the sudden? It is possibly because I have the beta version installed? It's worked fine ever since I downloaded it up until this happened. Here's my info: WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6 (6.0 (beta buil
I'd say I make my own first, whether it's a photograph or Photoshop. Secondly I look here, thirdly I probably would look at DeviantArt, then maybe just search the web for some keywords depending on what I was looking for. It's rare I can't find something with those four choices.
Oh hey yeah, thanks. I tried it and it worked.
I'm having the same problem. I've tried uploading a skin now about 8 times and it uploads the screenshot and then won't do the .wba. Same as Boss0190 above. I wrote to websupport two days ago but no answer.
Just wanted to tell everybody that I found out what was causing this weird event. I had accidently put an image in the MenuBackground.ReflectionMap section. Do I feel stupid or what? I wasn't even looking there because I don't use that section as a rule. Well, thanks everybody for trying to figure out what the problem was. I'll keep an eye on that section in the future!
I mean HERE it is:
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t180/imzadi-7/TOPOFSCREENMENU.jpg Here's the image higher up on the desktop.
Now I've got this going on as well with the MS Menu image. This is on the desktop at the top and bottom of the screen. It's pinker towards the bottom of the screen, and if I right click further up, it becomes whiter.
am willing to bet your doing something wrong when importing or saving the image. Explain the process you go through. Something is wrong with the image itself. Be sure that the upper left hand corner pixel is transparent. Most of the Menu Item image is transparent, the only image I have in there (of the 5 images) is the mouse over one. It's not anything different than I've ever done, just not sure why THIS particular time it's not working. AND the MS Menu image isn't working, whic
Can you explain it here? I can't download MSN Messenger. It crashes my system.
Maybe he couldn't take it any more and those are bullet holes!
What type of image is it? If it's an imported png converted to tga it could be the colour depth. Some programs like Paint Shop Pro need to be told about colour depth/compression otherwise they use defaults. Couldn't really say for sure without getting my hand on it. This is where WC could do with a WIP section... The background image is a .bmp and the menu item image is a .png converted to a .tga by importing it into Skinstudio. The MSMenu image isn't wo
I've replaced both images to see if it's the images themselves, and it still looks the same. This is so bizarre!
Trying Photobucket...
I'm pasting the URL from the page that's got the closeup image. I wonder why it's not working.
Trying it again...
