I've downloaded Skinstudio 6.4 and have been working on a skin. I see that you can now use an image for the More Programs mouseover? Does this not work in XP? I've created an image for the mouseover, and it shows in SKS, but doesn't apply. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
I just downloaded it too and I'm enjoying it very much. Makes the desktop look much cleaner and organized.

Yeah, there used to be an option to get the Windowblinds program as a CD or as a download. I have Windowblinds 2, 4 and 5 on disc.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I read the books as a kid and always hoped they'd make a movie(s) of them. The other ones I always hoped were the Chronicles of Narnia. But they're not turning out as well. [e digicons]

I agree about MicroCenter. I have one about 20 minutes from my house and that's about the only place I'll go for computer related stuff. I went in our Circuit City only once and was very disappointed in the lack of knowledge of the salespeople. I think they pulled whoever they could find off of the street and put a name tag on them. My mom has Windowblinds on her computer but the configuration panel is too huge for her to fit on the desktop. She has to keep her screen resolution at 768X1024 so she can see it. So my request would be a resizable config panel.

This is why I still have XP on my main system. I have Vista on my laptop but I just can't see the reason to "upgrade" on my desktop. It works fine. There comes a point where more bells and whistles don't really make a lot of difference. It's just a tool.
I'm always glad to see great new stuff in the wallpaper gallery. Great job everybody. :CONGRAT:
One thing I've noticed with FF is that the text is always black, no matter what you make it in Windowblinds. So some skins might not display correctly on it if they have black buttons, you might not be able to read the text.
Maybe put varying sizes in the file for different resolutions? The desktop icons need to be seen easily when the wallpaper is used. Those are two things I know that help.

I can't upload either. I keep getting an error message that my screenshot is not valid. It's a .jpg file and seems to be fine. But it won't let me upload my WB without it.
Mine came from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Imzadi is a term of endearment between two lovers/soulmates. I actually used it because when it came time to come up with an email addy years ago the Imzadi book by Peter David was sitting in the bookcase next to me. I was trying to come up with something unique and that was it.
Okay, I've got a problem. What's with SkinStudio not allowing transparency in the start menu? You can't turn off the shadow if transparency is turned on. On my Vista laptop, I can't even get the shadows to go away with the transparency turned off and the shadows disabled.
I was able to upload with IE but not with Firefox for some reason. The button didn't do anything in Firefox at all.
I think it's looks more user-friendly than Vista and the menus look easier to read. I personally hate the Vista start menu layout, but this looks much nicer.
I had to unload WB altogether and restart it. Seemed to fix the problem.

It's like the file associations are getting lost. The image files are still there in the folder, but they don't show up in Skinstudio. The default files show up...or nothing at all. Sometimes there aren't even any sections for the normal parts of the skins, and I have to add them manually. I lost the whole start menu tonight, plus the taskbar parts. The window sections were all there just fine though.. This is really upsetting because I'm trying to get a skin ready f
I've got SKS 5 and 6 both on my computer. I usually use 5 to do the main skin and 6 to do the Vista parts. Well, all of the sudden, 5 has started losing skin parts. The default image file comes up, and now 6 is doing the same thing. It started the other day when I pulled up 5 and image attributes were missing. I'd have to go in and add them for most of the images. It's only part of the skin, the rest of it seems okay. Could this be a bug with SKS 6.3? I just upgraded to that about a wee
