Hi, I know that explorer folder tree background is not adjustable. Now in Windows 7 you have more of those, library background and text colours, even the explorer file background in e.g. Word file open or save is now not from the skin and stays white. Is this hardcoded into Windows 7 or is WindowBlinds and SkinStudio up to the task but the developers didn't take the time to include it? Cause I find it a real bummer that SkinStudio doesn't go all the way. <

...looks like depending on the default application linked to your file types that you need to manually alter icons in your registry. I manually adjusted the mov icon since they are still attached to Windows 7 default Media Player instead of Quicktime. Why can't Iconpackager alter them all or at least look which application is attached and adjust those filetypes? As for xml, still no luck but it is probably something similar. Davy

Hi, It's driving my crazy lately that some icons refuse to change to the iconpackager set. For now .mov and .xml is refusing to change whatever I set. They stick to the default of windows. They look right in Iconpackager but not in Explorer. Why? I am on Windows 7 64bit and latest IP. Davy

Hi, Whatever skin I load with Windowsblinds, it always crashes one of my 3D application when I go to the menu. It happened with previous Windowblinds as well, in Vista and Windows 7. XP was fine. The only remedy is to use Aero windows, the option in Windowblind 7. Any idea why and how I can cure it without having to use Aero windows instead of the skin ones? Thanks, Davy

Yep ;) Only mine and I don't know how to fix it. Looks like I need to set what image to use but I don't know where or what control is driving it. Cause my selection rectangle is just empty only making my the explorer background transparent where I drag a selection. Davy

Hi, How is it possible to load the Stardock Aero Colours skin and adjust some simple things like menus and windows colors (not through WB7 color adjustments). I load it in SKS7 but nothing to change ;) Or any change to convert the default Windows 7 Aero to SKS7 to edit? Thanks, Davy

Hi, Why will SkinStudio 6 not assign the color of the group box header text color? I picked a grey color but it always shows as the default black color in Windows :( Can someone confirm if that actually works? Thanks, Davy

Hi, Am having troubles loading an iconpackage I designed. I added lets say 100 file types in the section "files" of my theme (known system file types). When loading this package on my other system, it only loads the regulars, not all 100 different file types as saved in my package. I did switch off "only load file icons for registered file types" so it should load them all. No luck :( Davy

...yes, I work in different environements. I have my dark theme when I am in my studio and a light version of my dark theme for anywhere else. I am very happy with my dark theme as it works in most applications just fine. However sometimes, a light system colors for a specific application could solve some minor issues. Yeah, talking about PS but it works quite well anyway with the dark theme but I would definetly skin it with my light version cause PS uses system

Hi, I probably now the answer already but is it possible that a specific application uses the system colors of a subskin rather than the system colors of the main skin? That is really a pain when designing a dark theme and you want some applications to use the light version of my dark theme. Thanks, Davy

...if you open your explorer, and sort your files and right click the background and choose group your files by type or name. Your files are now grouped and each group has a group name and line from left to right. At the right side you have an arrow to close and open a group. Everything lits up with a regular blue button, complete line and arrow. On my custom skin, there is only a button on the arrow on on the long horizontal line. Any idea why? How to adjust t

Hi, Anyone any idea how to adjust the grouping line color in Vista explorer (which group files)? Also, only the right arrow of the line gets a button while if you have Vista standard skin, the whole line gets the blue selection button. Any idea how to adjust that if it's even possible with WB 6? Davy

Go in Edit Explorer-Edit Vista Explorer Parts - Favorite links backgrounds
Yep, but that doesn't change the background of the Favorite Links :(
Third question: Yes, you can. Go in "change skin colours - Roll "show me defined system colours" and change "window background color
Aah, now I understand. However, since I need the background

Hi, Am finishing my skin and have these last issues I can't solve: - can I change background color of "explorer tree folder" (probably not but better ask) - can I change the "favorite links" background (on top of explorer tree folder)? Changing the background does not change the background of the favorite links text, which remains white :( - don't know where to change the "command bar" text color Thanks, Davy

Hi, Have some troubles after using 'Set your default programs' in Vista 64bit. Quicktime was opening file types I didn't want to, so I went to Start > Default Programs > Set your default programs and changed Windows Photo Gallery to be as my default application for opening all file types it can open, having Quicktime the ones that Windows Media Player and Photo Gallery can't open. So far so good. The icons for all these file types are now back to their de
