Explorer background etc

Hi,

Am finishing my skin and have these last issues I can't solve:

- can I change background color of "explorer tree folder" (probably not but better ask)
- can I change the "favorite links" background (on top of explorer tree folder)? Changing the background does not change the background of the favorite links text, which remains white :(
- don't know where to change the "command bar" text color

Thanks,

Davy

Are you skinning for XP, Vista, 7, or all 3?

Also, a screen shot would help.

As far as the command bar text color, that cannot be changed, as far as I can tell.

First question: the background of the folders in right-bottom window of vista is always white. You can't change this

Second question: Yes, you can. Go in Edit Explorer-Edit Vista Explorer Parts - Favorite links backgrounds

Third question: Yes, you can. Go in "change skin colours - Roll "show me defined system colours" and change "window background color

Not that I know of.

True. The "header" cannot be skinned just the contents under.

Window background color controls that

You can't. Nor the collapse/expand arrow

Yep, but that doesn't change the background of the Favorite Links :(

Aah, now I understand. However, since I need the background window to be black (dark scheme skin) I guess I am not able to change that without having a white window background in a dark theme :(

Yeah, I was refering to the top "Command Bar" but I figuered out what you said as well, the "Folders" text and arrow are not adjustable in color :(

Until now I worked in XP with my own designed theme.

Now switching to Vista and am adjusting my theme but since it's a dark theme, the explorer tree folder background and favorite issue is really annoying me. Really idiot that they skinned it with bitmaps or fixed colors.

Thanks for the help,

Davy
