Thx Basj, good to know that is a technical/OS limitation.

Bringing up this old request again. On my laptop all apps where running maximized, so no problem to click on "Show Fences" in the taskbar. Now with a big monitor most apps are running windowed. When hoovering with the mouse over the Fences on the top of the screen, they all go behind other windows. Not very usefull. The hotkeys are not really a solution, as the y are not faster then clicking on the taskbar. As I have seen similar requests here in the forum, a solution would be
When the Fence unrolls it still comes up behind the currently displayed windows so it is of limited value.
Not sure what you mean. When I have maximized an app and press Win+space and keep it pressed, the fences appear and moving the mouse over a fence, it unrolls in front of the app/windows.
When I buy a subscription license and do NOT renew after a year, what happens? Does the software still work, only no updates/upgrades available? Or is it like Adobe, where you cant use the software anymore?
Sean, I can not interact with the artifacts. Clicking on them or in the area of the fence makes them disappear. F5 also clears the artifacts. Otto
Thanks for your efforts ;) Otto

No, problem does not go away.
Made several more test: - removed Bing wallpaper, no change - it does NOT happen with folder portals, only with fences no matter whether I create a fence as shown in my video or creating an empty fance and adding files/links to this fence

No problems with fences from folders etc. Put some links on your desktop and make a frence from them. In my notebook is a Nvidia Quadro P3200. But as said, with 4k on a 15" display, it got high DPI and some apps got problems with that. You can not compare 4k on a 15" display with 4k on a, e.g. 24" display
Same result. I think Fences simple does not fully support HighDPI monitors.
Ok, did as suggested, purge and reinstall, only making a fence with two file links from desktop, but problem is still the same.
Well, I downloaded the trial just today, so do you thing purging and reinstalling makes any sense?
Display driver is up to date. Changing the scaling to 200% solves it, but is not an option, as it has side effects to other apps and makes reading difficult. Note that is a 15" notebook with HighDPI, therefore the recommended 250% scaling.
Win11 22H2 (Build 22621.1992) Screen res 3840x2160, scaling 250% (default recommended)
I created a fence from 2 links on my desktop. When I double click on the title bar, the fence collapse, but the icons stay visible. They disappear, when I open another fence that covers the fence in question, but come back and stay as soon as I open the fence with mouse over. I can show you a video if needed. This happens with the trial version 4.21 and latest Win11. No problem with fences made from folders.
Yes, was talking about shortcuts of course. What you describe is exactly what I'm doing currently. But what I would like to see: right click in Start11 -> create shortcut (beside create new page/group, attach folder/file).
I can not find a way to create a link like on the Desktop (right click -> New -> Link). I can setup a new page/new group, I can attach a folder/file, but no link. I would like to do so, because I often create links to an exe with commandline arguments. Current workaround is to create such a link on the desktop and then attach it to Start11. Did I miss something?
