I hope so. I did back up the original version that I purchased, it's telling me it has expired. I think that if I buy software, and am provided with a serial number, I should be able to back the .exe file and the serial number and be able to use at at any time. not be told that what I bought had expired. O.k. I had Windowblinds 6 installed on my computer, had bough it in May of 2009. I had windowblinds 6 backed up on an external hard drive, as well as all the other software I have purchased over the years. and when my internal hard drive took a dump on me, I bought a new hard drive. I got the files I had backed up ( Windowblinds 6 ) and installed it, upon completion, I was told " This version of Windowblainds has expired, please download the latest version " so I figured o.k. no probl
