The hard thing to test this is citidel upgrades are not visible in replays. Can someone make a mod for that?
You can observe citadel upgrades in replays by clicking on the little citadel icon on the left side of the screen, right at the top of the list of player names. If you are observing a light-side player, you can click the icon and see the light citadel upgrades. Same for dark.

Peppe, I am following your AI mod with much interest. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, but I have looked at the code. I'll play around with some of this later today. However, I have a few questions. It appears that you have prioritized most of the item purchases the same as I would. (I would give Slayer's Wraps a bit more priority, and less for Journeyman Treads. Some of the attribute values in the AIGlobals file are actually wrong, such as Banded

I am not in front of my gaming computer, so I can't really test anything. However, I will try to mod this later today or tomorrow. So, how might it work? Tweak the values that Peppe has found in the dgdata.zip\lua\sim\AI\AIGlobals.lua, using Notepad as the text editor. Then save the modded file in Demigod\bindata\mods\lua\sim\AI\AIGlobals.lua? Are do you need to put "dgdata.zip" somewhere in the installation path, which would seem odd (that is, to include a .zip file)?

@Peppe Many thanks for this! Another rather noobish question: Do I need a particular program to access and mod .lua files? +1 Karma P.S. If Sorian or other knowledgeable folks can help with this, I would be very grateful (and more karma to come!)

I have every intention of getting it. However, I'll wait until next year when the "gold" or "game of the year" edition comes out with all of the DLC and a proper expansion pack.

I like fooling around with the skirmish AI, but I do not enjoy beating it all the time on Nightmare difficulty. I know that the AI has several issues, but fixing two issues in particular would make it a lot more fun to play against. First, the AI will rarely buy catapults and giants, even when it has the warscore and income. It would rather spend its gold on stuff like trebuchets and Finger of God. My question: Is there a fairly simple way to mod the AI so

Like KineticOne said, it will sort itself out. A lot of people will play the new demigods for about a week or so, then most of them will go back to their old favorites. In most games that I play, it is usually the person who comes into the lobby first that gets to keep a demigod when doubling is a problem. With more demigods to choose from, the doubling issues should actually be less common over time.

Will games using mods will count towards rankings? i dont think they should as it could be easily abused.
@Celmare: I do feel your pain, trust me. I play QoT a lot, and it does get kind of old coming away from a game with the least favor after your Bramble Shield has made it possible for your UB teammate to pursue opponents through towers or allowed your Rook ally to push a lane. Favor does not capture that kind of teamwork that can be essential to winning. However, I would include in the overlay a player's typical demigod choice, so that people could compare apples-to-appl

^You're right, Bobek_XY. I didn't read your post closely enough. We are basically in agreement. I still do like the average favor-point stat as a way of making favor relevant over time. And I do think that people know enough about the game to know that such a stat would have to be viewed in the context of a demigod's traditional role. That is, no reasonable person should expect the average QoT player to have an average favor above that of the average UB player.

I generally agree with the OP (gkrit). Make favor items either cost nothing or all cost the same, then balance them against each other. However, I do still like the idea of favor being given based on how someone did during a match. Maybe in the stats overlay, it could list a person's average favor per game. That way, you get a sense of how good a person really is, outside of just W-L ratio. For example, I've seen many players get a lot of favor in a match even while be

I would definitely go for a proper expansion with 4-6 demigods and 4-6 maps. I could see putting down $20 for that. I've never been a fan for paid, piecemeal DLC, and subscriptions are out of the question.
My theory on the Stone Prisoner: they made that DLC so everyone would create an online profile and to show how "easy" it was to purchase additional content. Those are fair enough questions, Democracy. You'll just have to look over the grammar nazis who occasionally frequent these forums. I don't think that Demigod sold particularly well, especially given the connectivity issues at release, mixed reviews, and slow pace (and amount) of additional content released. I, too, am disappointed with the number of games posted at any given time, but hope that the new demigods will bring more people in/back. It

The map looks very nice. I like the design overall. I would just suggest adding a couple of towers directly behind each base. As it is, the citadel looks fairly exposed from behind. Also, I would add another tower to the lane leading to the portals. Otherwise, good work, and I hope the map gets made.
