I played the PC demo, and....i really dont see what the fuss is about. I know it has ALOT of positive reviews but i didnt like it that much. Wanted to try the enhanced version but no demo for that. So no buy.
The demo really doesn't do much justice to the game. It's mostly running through cornfields and a sleepy little town, with a little combat thrown in. The full game is MUCH, MUCH better. Sin

This is a nice statement of principles by the developer, but the proof of the pudding will be the DRM that actually ships with the game. If they go with the light DRM that was in the first game (I think that it was just a disk check), then I'm fine with it.

Start with Cloak, monks, and a Combat Mana Potion. Put all points into Shield/G. Spikes/Spike Wave through level 10. Start getting and upgrading Shamblers at levels 11-14. Don't go cheap on idols; try to upgrade them throughout the game, especially siege idols

I'm looking at this as well. Looks like some of the old favorites (Kung Lao & the hat!) are coming back. I agree that MK2 was probably the best one. MK3 was good, except for the ridiculous combos which the AI would start spamming relentlessly. Not fun.

Good guide, Ninki. I've been using Dark Crimson Vial (DCV) with UB. You start with lower health than a BotF UB, but the 1/3 health boost per usage somewhat compensates. You just need to be a bit more careful during the early game and leverage the DCV cooldown intelligently. By mid- to late-game when you have sigils, DCV is one of the best favor items available IMO. Although you'll always have 800 health less than a BotF UB, the health boost from a sigil

I suppose that little has really changed. My experience with Shamblers is that they are quite fragile and often die even before you can eat 'em!

It offers the same service as Steamworks without requiring the Impulse client to be installed or running, unlike Steamworks which requires Steam installed and running at all times. Okay, I love Stardock, but I read the above and I can't help thinking: You wil

I'm still trying to figure out Elemental as well, based on current information (I have to admit that I haven't paid close attention). Anyhow, Steam-exclusive games are an automatic "no-buy" for me.
fearzone - I get what you are saying and welcome SP enhancements as well. If you haven't stumbled across it yet though, you might enjoy trying out the skirmish ai mod which does a pretty good job of enhancing the in game AI, improving their logic and build decisions. I don't believe it does anything for tournament mode, but makes enough of a difference to make SP skirmish mode more interesting.
^What he sai

There's already some good advice in this thread. I completely agree with getting a UI mod that let's you see what your allies have. Also, get a good zoom level that you are comfortable with and don't be afraid to rotate the camera. Most of the time, these kinds of traffic jams happen around valuable flags and portals in the mid to late game. When you lose sight of your demigod, it's time to move out of the fray. Probably more players get g
So, I know this has been discussed to death, but if you could make ONE FIX to QuT (from a patch standpoint) to make her viable late-game, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Make Spike-Wave an interrupt? Seriously buff Entourage (esp. lvl 8) so that Shamblers kick total ass? Make lvl 10 Shield invulnerable to Special Abilities?
First, she needs an interrupt. Period. Attach

Yeah, this system stinks, especially for console games that typically require you to own the disk in order to play. The appropriate response: just don't buy games from publishers who resort to this kind of foolishness. As EA has demonstrated by cutting back DRM in games like Dragon Age, companies get the message very clearly when customers do not buy their products.

She badly needs an interrupt. The only late-game strategy that she has is creep-wave busting (which is important). I agree with Orion that she has some useless skills, or skills that should be combined (like compost and entourage). Seems that Brad or someone mentioned some time ago the possibility of giving her the ability to heal buildings. If they had done this, she would have been a must for most teams. But alas....

+1 for Bartek. I don't know if he can play all the demigods well, but he is a good pugger--with good manners as well! EDIT: I would add neverfukwithareg, navenodreem, burneden, and howboutnoooo as good puggers who are fun to play with. EDIT2: Maybe it's Bartel that I'm thinking about. Anyhow, both Bartel and Bartek are good puggers.
I hate stuff like this. You have the truly skilled and tactical players. Those can push a lane with Reg alone. The TB that UB has to run from every time. Etc. Then you have the players that won't touch a game unless it's in their favor, their teammates are on vent, and/or they use a DG and build that will cover up the small mistakes that separate them from top category.... But I'm in a minority of game

Play the demo first. If you can get the game for $15 or less, go for it. There is not much to the single-player, although there are some mods (like Peppe's AI mod) that make solo a bit more interesting. If you can get into a good online match, the game can be exhilarating and addicting. Maybe the best multiplayer game I've played, even with the bugs. As others have said, do be prepared for long waits for games. The online community is quite small. And regar
One bug that I haven't seen in this thread is regarding LVL 1 Priest (Monk) idol minions. Sometimes if I summon them near the citadel, one will get stuck inside the structure and hang out there until I sell them off and purchase the next level priest idol. For me, it only seems to happen with the Monk idol, and it doesn't happen every game. Sure is a disadvantage if I'm the only general and can only have one Monk until I can af

I agree with the goal of trying to keep towers up for as long as possible. However, as Rawrrr stated, there are several good reasons to abandon a tower. Also, towers can provide a false sense of security. Enemy demigods with minions or simply following a creep wave can approach you at your tower and attack both you and the tower without much concern, since the minions/creeps can soak up tower damage temporarily. I've seen many a demigod killed at their own tower becaus
