A little update: A friend of mine mooted the idea of disabling the nVidia service. I tried it and whoa....... it worked. I have tried to find exactly what this service actually does without success, but I haven't lost any usability nor noticed any side affects so I'm a happy bunny. Everything now seems to be running perfectly.
Anyway, what I would suggest is, to try a purge and reinstall steps, just to solve if anything goes wrong on your last WB installation.
I have re-installed, four times I think. Made no diference. I moan about the 29 seconds because I've just spent almost a grand on my first decent box in 20 years, was over the moon about it's incredible speed only to be stumped by my favourite piece of software.
Machine spec is i7700, gigabyte ga-z270x-ultra gaming, Graphic nVidia GTX 980 Ti, 24Gb Corsair DDR4, Samsung 512Gb M.2 and Samsung 850 EVO 1Tb SSD with Windows 7 Pro. Boot time without WB is in reality 7 seconds, WITH WB it increases to about 29 seconds (sits on the welcome screen simply staring at me!) Very many thanks for the fast reply.

What intrigues me is that there is alternative software out there that (almost) does the same job (for free) and Multiplicity is simply being left behind. Why?
