Unfortunately I was unable to take a look at it yesterday, and our database guy has taken this week off for vacation. T-Man and I will be looking at it later today and see if we can resolve anything. We have an idea as to what may be causing the problem, but we need to run some tests to verify before trying any solutions. I'll keep you all informed of any updates. In the meantime, please stay patient with us. I understand that it may get frustrating, but we're

Apologies for the problems and late response, but we've been quite a bit busy with Elemental and a few other projects. We will be taking a closer look at this issue on Monday. I'll keep you all informed of any changes. Bara

It is intentional, and there are plans to change this behavior. The forums were initially designed so that they are treated separately from each other. That is, each forum is standalone. Some things are shared, such as accounts and categories, but for the most part it is like they don't know anything about each other. That was a decision made by our previous forums developer. I personally prefer to have everything connected. At some point in the future I
We had some major server issues throughout Saturday. Our networking guy, Kris, tried many things to fix them and after a few IIS resets and server restarts, things went back to normal. Apologies for the problems guys. We are discussing how to improve weekend performance so that this doesn't happen again, and we've already implemented a few new things on the database side to further increase performance on the weekends. We were having some server/db issues intermittently last night. As of now they are resolved, but I don't think they had anything to do with the boom errors. I did ask our database guy to continue looking at our error logs and see how often it happens and what he can do. He's been trying a few things the past few days days to reduce the amount of errors (which seem to be related to db load in some way). I'll keep you guys updated of anything further that we try.

We've tried yet another solution to resolving this problem around noon EST. Thanks everyone for the replies. We're going to try a few more things this week and I'll likely ask again if you see the error. I'll keep you all informed when we try something again.
