Meh, the iPhone hasn't interested me for years. The software has stagnated, Apple's walled garden completely turns me off from their products, and I personally hate their polymorphic design aesthetic. The iPhone 5 didn't show anything that made it a must-have besides making the screen bigger (which, if you'd look at Android and even Windows Phone 7 phones that have released in the past 2 years, a bigger display is nothing special). As for pricing, what they announced i

The ads are way narrower than the div which defines the width for all other content on the forum. I know you probably just used the ads you had lying around to use in a standardized fashion on other sites, but it just looks so amateurish.
It's a limitation of our styling system. I'll talk to the right people about adjusting or replacing that ad. Bara
I am a firm disbeliever that anyone ever clicks a banner ad on purpose.
Entire companies are built around advertising. Google makes something like 90% of their money from advertising. Facebook exists because of advertising. Do you really think all of those clicks are on accident? You also didn't take into account our subconscious memories. Seeing an ad may not phase you but later, when you're in the store sh
I am unable to recreate your issue. Seeing as you've already cleaned and re-installed Firefox, the only other possible cause of the problem is something else on your computer. Some software may be installed that could be interfering. Do you have anti-virus installed? Try disabling it. Don't have it installed? Try installing one and doing a system scan. Your firewall could also be preventing some traffic (such as images) from coming through. I couldn't tell you why it is only affec
So who wants to try to persuade me (as a long time user of Stardock software) to install Stardock Central and use it in stead of the Store?
Do you want to have to remember or look up the version of WindowBlinds you're currently running every time you go to the Store to check for updates? What if there's an important stability update to Fences right now that you won't see for days to come? Stardock Central does all of that for you. It silently c
Quoting GunslingerBara, reply 101Just pushed an update to Stardock Central (Beta 2.70). The changelog is as follows: Added a right-click option for software to go to it's product page on stardock.com (or wherever makes most sense). Now showing the logged-in user's avatar and username in the corner of the Downloads section. In the Downloads section, there is a new "View Subscriptions" link
A fix was just applied on our end that should have fixed any Object Desktop subscription problems. Please check the "View Subscriptions" popup in Stardock Central and verify that it is accurate. Bara
One request: When logged in to SDC, it would be nice if clicking on Go To My Account would take you to the store account page already logged on there. Also, no version of DX is showing as installed. XP(3.50 installed) or Win7(3.96 installed)
We can't auto-log you in to the store for security reasons. Sorry. As for your DesktopX issues... Can you try uninstalling it then re-inst
When SDC auto updates , it has a dialog box open that says "Updating Stardock Central". The text runs off of the right side of the window.
I noticed that, it'll be fixed in the next update. Bara
The dates being wrong or off should not prevent you from using Stardock Central or the products in your OD subscription. I'll look into it in the morning and see what's going on. Bara
Thanks for the responses, folks, and I realize I could've been clearer in one aspect of my problem description. In stating that "SC will not permit me to install to a directory of my choosing," I was referring to the Stardock Central program itself. From the get-go, Ive run SC with the "Silently install new software" item unchecked, and've had no problem installing Object Desktop stuff. I've got a sizable his

Can't speak for anybody else, but it's always seemed to me that if some head developer sits around afterhours discussing the latest game session they've had with their friends, chances are they're indie. If the head developer sits around afterhours discussing how well their stocks are doing with their friends, they're Game Industry. <br /
