This mod allows you to click on your health or mana bar to leave the text up. Just like the mod manager, it can only be used in single player or over LAN (as well as Hamachi or GameRanger). Get it here: http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=409290 You will need my mod manager, which can be found here: <

Over LAN (also via GameRanger or Hamachi), yes. I have a mod I am going to release for that. Over Impulse, no. This Mod Manager (any modification, in fact) can not be used over Impulse at the moment.
Quoting esports, reply 12Custom game - Cant get in matches Pantheon - Kicked Same as esports. I think the connection info is buggy, it contradics itself constantly.
Where is the contradiction?
You can play normally over LAN. There are not many mods out atm, but I am going to update some of mine. Hopefully others will create mods as well.
Definitely :). I also plan on branching out and doing some new stuff. I really had fun adding new UI stuff during the beta and plan on re-vamping some of it.
You can find it over here: http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=408370 Enjoy :)
Open up your game.prefs file which can be found in My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod (WinXP, not sure about Vista). Find the block of text that starts:
options_overrides = {
See if that table contains a line like:
language = '??',
If the line exists try setting it to (replace the ?? in the above example to) US (for english) or DE (for German). If the line does not exist, add it. It should look like: <
Did you already find a way around the "Mismatched Executable" problem when playing over impulse?
You just wont be able to play with anyone else over impulse. Not sure about LAN. If anyone gets a mod to work over LAN let me know. May have to start modding if that is the case. :)
Using unsecured wifi (at least in the US) to access the internet is legal last I knew (it may have changed). Using unsecured wifi to access other computers on the network or gain access to the router itself is illegal.
Well, the absorbtion buffs (like Bramble Shield) have a function that decrements the shield. Adding some code there to increment a score varible for each point blocked would be easy. Invincible buffs (like Oaks Shield) set a variable that gets checked when the player takes damage. Adding a check to see if they are under the influence of a shield buff would be easy. If the check comes back true it could increment a score variable for the amount of damage that attack was supposed to do.
Quoting Silphius, reply 3I don't see how any other DG could beat a determined Sedna to the award. Then you just get 'I turned up' favour (provided a lot of people dont start playing Sedna to get the new favor award)There are two other demigods, QoT and Oak who can at least give a shield to everyone else, I think that's at least some other support that players can use. I do think calculating something like this is close to ungodly c
An award for assisting already exists, but only counts kill assists. Why not just adjust this award to account for healing and buffing allies as well. The award could be based on a scaled point system. This would give healing Demis and fighting Demis the same chance to receive the award.
Can't wait for the patch that enables modding :). The AI definitely has potential, it just needs to take advantage of it.
Quoting -Sorian-, reply 10The friends list and such are part of Impulse, not Demigod. Whats that matter? I mean impulse is Steam Jr. Only still in it's diapers. But steam still links to all the games and tells you your friend is playing whatever, Click here to join him. Regardless of who actually made the game it still tells you what they're doing....so I'm not quite seeing your point
The friends list and such are part of Impulse, not Demigod.
Maybe he can't download the 0-day patch for some reason and is playing the release version [e digicons];)[/e]
How about just scaling the gold reward based on the level difference between the victor and victim. Right now you get more gold the higher the enemy's level is. It could be changed to grant more gold if you kill an enemy DG of a higher level than you and less gold if you kill an enemy DG of a lower level.
Yay, karma. I will mod the heck out of this game as soon as they release the modding patch. Modding, at moment, is pretty much pointless. Anyone running a mod will be unable to play with someone else online (not sure about lan + hamachi).
Here, I made this post during the beta, but it still applies. http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=412581 Note: You will have to revert the change (rename the folder and zip file back) to play online.
This was brought up during the beta. I had hoped the 0-day patch would fix this.
That sucks, oh well.

Did you ever install any mods for Demigod?
