Anyone else had this happen? Came home from work, my computer rebooted itself and now all my fences are gone. Pissed doesn't begin to describe it. If this type of thing is going to happen on Windows 10 I might reformat my PC and go back to 8.

Ended up in the Bazaar in the ruins of Capitar and once I entered, the only options were to buy things, I couldn't exit out. Anyone else run into something like this? Was there a specific set of items I was supposed to get to get out or just a glitch?
I noticed that too. Thought it was weird, but thought maybe other quests had modified the results.
Look around the map a bit. I've seen the spell cast and the wildling shows up, but then dies once you kill the caster. So if you get rid of the hermit that cast the spell you might not notice the summoned creature.
Went back an a saved game the other day and decided to play through and conquer everyone. As I neared my goal I realized that the last enemy was going to finish casting the Spell of Making before I could take him out. I let the game finish and took my loss, but instead of getting the message that I lost, I got an achievement Leader of Men for defeating all my opponents. I never got a message saying the last opponent was giving up (why would he after all).
Even if it's turned on, if one of my units hasn't moved, shouldn't the game stop to let me make a move? I can sit and watch enemies/wandering monsters walk all around the map without my units ever moving.
I had exited out of the game earlier today to avoid the screen saver error and when I went to start the game back up I got the message that the game was already running. Pulled up task manager and saw that LH was currently using 29.2% of my CPU and over a gig of ram. Okay I thought, maybe the game is just syncing to Steam, I'll let it run for a while. 45 minutes later it's still using 28.5% of my CPU and 891 megs of ram.
Also, just to be helpful, try and be a little more descriptive about what is going on. Saying a game won't work is like your mom calling you from another state saying her computer won't work and expecting you to be able to fix it from there. The more information you give the guys on the forum, the better chance that someone can either figure out what is happening or give you some ideas on what is causing the problem (and maybe even help the company fix the issue in a futur
The biggest issue I'm having right now is not actually having a turn. The game seems to go into an auto turn mode where it keeps taking turn after turn without allowing me to make a move. None of my armies move, but I seem to be still doing research.
Agreed, maul saved my tail in more than one fight. Start off with 100 hp and maul and if you can tag him early in the game you'll walk the board. Big purple cat when you see him.
I had it stop responding this morning after I had beating the game and tried to start a new game. I'm guessing an AI error wouldn't cause that.
Has anyone else had a screen saver cause a Invalid call: DX error that caused the game to crash? I use the blank screen saver and in both FE and LH if my screen saver kicks in I know my game is over.
Whenever I walk away from the game for a moment and my screen saver kicks in, I get a Failed DLL call error and the game CTD's. Anyone else getting this? Any solution other than turning off my SS?
I'll give the guys credit, I don't know what happened but I was having massive problems with Fences 2 in Win 7 on my machine but I took advantage of the cheap upgrade to Win 8 and on a whim installed Fences again and it works perfectly now. No clue what changed, but there's hope that it will work on your computer eventually.
I agree with the idea that constant complaining doesn't do any good, but if people are having problems with Fences, then that still bears discussing. If a problem was reported once and you just sat back and waited, nobody would fix anything because it would only look like there is one person having that problem. I took your approach when I first bought it and it wouldn't work and that was when it was released, I'm still waiting for a patch to make it work.
I used to get this same error when I installed Fences to a drive other than my C drive. Never did figure out what the problem was.
I'm running Win7-64 on an SSD and as soon as I install Fences (just upgraded to 2.02) I get the 'Explorer has stopped responding' error and I can't do anything with Fences. The Win install is less than a month old and the only things running in memory are AVG, Malwarebytes and Steam. Anyone have an idea? Thanks.
I don't mean that I'm terrible at the game or that I seem to be having problems, just the opposite. I haven't had the game crash or glitch out on me yet. I almost feel like I'm missing out on something. Does there seem to be a common combination of cpu/chipset/video card that causes the problems or is it completely and utterly random? As much as I'm enjoying the game, I really don't feel like I'm helping the testing much, ot
Theoretically, haven't they given us the option of getting rid of tactical combat? Doesn't Autoresolve basically make this for you? I'm not seeing a reason to remove the option of do it yourself combat.
Has anyone else run into a point in the game where it always crashes? I'm playing a random map and attempting to finish the quest involving a dragons egg. I get into combat with the guardians, when I get to the point where I kill off the last guy, the combat screen goes green with the figures on it, and crash to desktop. So far it's the only spot I've run into where the game consistantly wrecks. Since this is the only place my game has cras
Quoting BoogieBac, reply 25 Quoting alborrelli, reply 24why they were so quick to rush into FE and almost completely abandone EWOM "I think that's what a lot of people don't understand. Well, that and a curious definition of "quick to abandon" considering WoM came 9 months ago." Is it really far to say the game came out 9 months ago when it was admittedly not playable? Shouldn't
Won't buy from Bethesda? Huh, I really like their stuff. Interplay? Do they even make games any more? Old days of Interplay was good.
I'm a big Steve Jackson Games fan, GURPS, Car Wars, etc and back when Interplay was putting together the first Fallout game, they licensed the GURPS combat system from SJG with the fees to be paid when the game shipped. Strangely, shortly befo
And I don't mean in the game, I mean by the people on the board and to a lesser extent the guys working on Elemental. I want to get my premise straight first, because if it is wrong, I'll jump right back on here and apologize at the top of my lungs to everyone involved. A while back Frogboy posted that version 1.2 of the game was going to be bug fixes (which is good), and that 1.3 would be adding features to improve the game play (even better), he also said that aft
I'll second Sidney's comment. I've looked through the manual provided, and the 'tutorial' included is terrible. Be sure to setup your town in a good spot, train troops and go find stuff. There is a 5 page tutorial, and an 11 page history of the planet. After the cataclysm, much technology was lost, you'll spend most of your time trying to rediscover this technology. How? What allows you to reseach tech? Why should I have to go to the
