I cannot upgrade to the newest version of Window Blinds 10 because I cannot uninstall the previous version to do so, nor can I uninstall the program AT ALL. I receive an error message as follows: "Invalid uninstall control file:C:\Program files (x86)\Stardock\WindowBlinds\Uninstall\Uninstall.xml" Please explain how I can fix this problem so I can properly upgrade to the newest version. Thanks.

I've been using Stardock stuff for years, and recently purchased Object Desktop. When and where will I get license numbers for the associated software, i.e., Window Blinds, Start 10, etc. Also, on the My Software page, there is a listing for each time I purchased Object Desktop, many of which are expired, and the latest purchase 4/8/16 (thereabouts) has a green box saying "Renew" but no informat
Thanks Zubaz. Downloaded and emailed support with SupportTool info. Thanks also Jafo! You guys rock!
I purchased WB8 last night and installed it. It did something to my computer that completely locked up startup of my computer, a Dell Inspiron using Windows 8! It froze upon apply skin and then I could not get past the lock screen to even REMOVE it! Had to restore my system from a few weeks before, so I lost a bunch of programs I had installed successfully prior to installing WB8. I am now reluctant to attempt reinstalling the program. I also have Fences 2, Objec
Hey, I'm no programmer and when something says it is compatible with Windows 8, that is what I expect. I purchase another Object Desktop subscription mainly to be able to use Deskscapes. I had no idea it was not compatible with Windows 8 until after I tried to install it. I also have on my Stardock Central page a notice that the day I PURCHASED Object Desktop that it was EXPIRED!!!! What the bloody H E Double Hockey Sticks!?! I also sent an email to Stardock
VOILA! Thanks, Highlander...I did just as you said and everything is back to normal! I appreciate everyone's support on this issue and the new Desktop is gorgeous.
a SINCERE thanks to those of you with actual help. And you're right, Jafo...I'll uninstall and reinstall....later! :)
winge winge winge, bitch bitch bitch, impulse this, impulse that. here's a suggestion. take a chill pill
Thanks for all your help....NOT.
I was having trouble using Dreamscapes too and found in a post in a forum that I had to turn on the Desktop Window Manager in the Management Console. It's a pain in the butt, but it works most of the time. Of course I usually have to do it each time my computer boots, but at least I can get it to run once it is started. I'm sorry I can't help with the other issues, but perhaps this will help.
Hello. Don't use Impulse if you can avoid it...read my post "Impulse--What Fresh Hell is This?" which describes the hellish night I've had because of this same mess. Now I can't use Impulse AT ALL and can't access my account info at all, all registrations are considered INVALID. I'm not a programmer/developer, so I'm really lost and afraid I just blew $50 on a useless bug-laden set of programs. X-(
BY THE WAY, here is what the error reports (at least 30-40 times). Bear in mind I have been dealing with this from 2:40 a.m. to now (7:25 am). I'm so angry I can't sleep! :( OK, I have posted on here about my disgruntlization with Impulse, but now...I got an email from Stardock telling me that because I am a "loyal Object Des)ktop" customer, I "win" a free theme for Desktop X. Email tells me "To install your free theme download and install Impulse. The free theme will appear on the MyDesktop tab automatically (it has already been added to your account). Download Impulse here ." Fine. I
