I'm amazed sometimes at people who think their perspective on gaming is the only valid one... Yes, shocking I know, but most people play games singleplayer only. Even in a game like DG, if it has a SP mode, it's going to see more use. LAN play should also not be ruled out. Quite a few gamers view DG as the ultimate lan game, it runs very smooth with 0 latency and it's quick to pick up the basics. I also wonder how many others are like me, not playing much lat

I agree there is some truth to the premise of this thread. I don't agree with the specific example of BotF though. I only have one build that uses that, which is my health stacking Sedna. I want so much hp that I only need my priests healing me to keep going. Outside of that there are so many better options depending on the DG you're playing. There are still far to many useless items, and favor items in particular could use a going over.

Chirmaya is very good, but you'll notice that what he created is a static object with no animation. Without Granny I don't think he can get much more done than that.

Demigod is "moddable" but it is currently severely limited. A patch coming soon will open it up considerably. Adding new DG's will be difficult no matter what. If you don't have Granny creating new models will be impossible.

I'm also curious about the Sedna build you went with Froggy. She's been my favorite DG for awhile now and I've never felt I should have gone with another, regardless of who my opponents were or the number of players. The game is excellent though. It's just due for that shot of new content, once those DG's start rolling out I expect to see the game get its second wind.

It has been my observation that if you want a quicker resolution to a bug that you've tracked down specific LUA code for, post it to GPG's forums. The Sedna priest bug was known for months, we got almost immediate response when it was posted there. I've seen similar results on a couple of other older bugs too. Also, its so much easier to track things over there, forums don't move nearly as fast as they do here.

I'm a little baffled by the banning of Shadow. IMO, he is completely right. I've spent most of my time playing in pantheon or custom pugs, but that is only because there is very little to encourage me to play any other way. I've avoided joining clans because I see little point for it with no in game support. I would love to join one and get into some good team play, as that is where this game shines, but until the support is there I'll stick to pugs and pantheon.

Upon the start of a new Pantheon Tournament, should you decide to switch sides, the game will still have selected the last DG you used from the previous tournament.
