Since someone was interested in our ages I began to wonder where we all are in relation to eachother. I'm not asking for specifics or anything but it would be nice to know if anyone even remotely near me plays this game. I myself live near Pittsburgh. I've noticed alot of foreign gamers in here and was just curious. So all, where r u?

Alpha Centauri and Civ2. Since I wasn't heavy into computers until I got "older" (I had the comp illiterate parents who thought that computers were just a "fad" and only good for games)my tastes were more along the "board game" TBS. Remember those? Squad Leader and Afrika Korps by Avalon Hill are the two big ones that come to mind. Man I'm feeling old now... Forgot to add Axis and Allies from MB. Oh, and props out to Panzer General, that was another fav, and still is when the WWII mood strikes.

How could that possibly upset you? I was wondering the same thing about the new tech tree. Sorry Moosetek, posting on the wrong topic to begin with. No, the question doesn't upset me, and I too am interested. Just been reading all of these requests and the darned expansion isn't even out yet. Love the forum support and the great ideas, and the de

How about we just let them get the expansion out there and see what's in it. Wow, I mean really people, it's a game! Play it, live it, love it. Quit asking for more, more, more!!!!! Sorry for the rant but enough is enough already. Not aiming at anyone in particular, just tired of constant requests.

IMO I think the long of the short of it is if you have the tech to colonize, you have the capability to invade. If you don't have the tech to colonize, then you can't invade. Like I said, just my opinion. Now just sit back and wait for the more informed crowd in here.

I am totally fed up with what appears to be the "general" population. Are people really that naive and ignorant with regards to politics, the rich, and generally the war machine/industrial complex as a whole. Can people not see what is happening before their very eyes or are they too mesmerized by what Paris Hilton is wearing today? Let's face it, the politicians have to go, period. No man or woman who has never tasted poverty can truly represent the masses. We need a change in this country peop

I haven't come across this problem either. When playing the gigantic galaxy with abundant planets set, I find many, many good systems. Haven't seen a PQ25 or higher yet.... but still looking!

I never said the US invaded Iraq to set up democracy. Then why did we invade Iraq, according to what you believe? WMD's? None found. Osama? No connections. Look at the FBI's most wanted website and you will find Osama is wanted for embassy bombings, OUTSIDE of the US. He is not wanted for any crimes "committed" within the US. So just what was ou

I approve of the war in Iraq, but only because of the goal to create a real democracy there It is up to them to want the Democracy, not up to our "politicians"(actually it's the CFR that calls the shots)to bestow it upon them. Our founding fathers took up arms to change things. They fought for what they wanted. The Iraqi's didn't want this, not l

If you don't like it in the US then move. One less idiots freedom of speech I have to protect. Another intelligent response as expected. Ahhh, I can count on those to show their true intellect whenever there is an interesting post. Gotta love this forum.

It is common practice for those people to create a foreign threat since that forms a feeling of unity on the domestic front. Doesn't this describe what Bush and his cronies have done? Wow, I mean your comment was dead on with relativity to our own situation here at home! Think about that one for a minute.

Chavez is God compared to Bush, whether we like him or not. His ideas are groundbreaking in that he actually tries to help the poor. Last winter when low income people in the northeast couldn't afford to pay their heating bills, our own government had the audacity to publicly ask the oil giants to lend a hand. Only one company sent aid, Citgo, aka Venezuela. Did Chavez sieze property and goods, probably. But I think the bigger picture was to take from the uber rich and give back to the needy, so

Between the two of us, we must know everything there is to know. You seem to know everything there is to know except that you're an a**h***, and I sir, know that. Awesome Mumblefratz, awesome. I really enjoy reading your replies! Keep it up.

Just build your own. That way you can carry as many troops as you want. Never ever use the default ships that are in the game, unless you absolutely have to. Even after a few turns in the beginning of the game you should have enough researched to improve any existing ship design that came with the game.

IMO the planetary defense sucks. It is a waste of space on a planet and the tile can be used for more worthy builds. Now if the planetary defense was modded to actually do something more than nothing, maybe we would have something there. But as it is written now, there seems to be no point to building either improvement because they do nothing tactically, save for adding yet another number to be crunched by the computer. So tactically, they are pretty worthless, statistically, I guess they add a

Not sure what you are looking for with this post but if it's opinions then here's my two cents worth I want the availability to purchase a game where I actually get the said hard product, not just download capability. Yes, the feature of being able to download the game from the website is great. But I don't want the inconvenience of it. Not everyone has high speed internet access, so Frogboy should be thinking of said things when deciding on his marketing strategy for the expansion or future
