So I'm finally getting towards the end of this game and I have to conclude that this stationing of major fleets far behind enemy lines was a strategic move by the AI. As far as I'm concerned, this is a noticeable improvement over the v1.2 AI's strategic ability. I've had to deal with these substantial behind the lines fleets each time I've gone to war. Actually, I've switched over to https://forums.stardock.com to view these threads and noticed that I have no issue there. The difference being that medals are not displayed there. Has something recently changed about the way medals are displayed? I do miss seeing my little bit of bling.
