I think the drop DK was referring to the PQ gain not base so as was said you lose what you gain so that the effects would not stack from multiple decolonizings
Colonies lose few quality points when you abandon them. that's good, other wise that would be a very EZ exploit....
step 1: build colony ships step 2: load every one on board step 3: blow up colony and start a new one...

i think he is looking for an oprion to set base PQ on planets as an option so that there could be like 1 planet per system that are pq 15 + vers 3 that are 3,4,7.....
I have had this happen twice 1. was do to CPU issues and is my fault of trying to run this on a P4 1.4ghz 512mb, 2. was an issue were an in game pop (I think it was when I finished research) did not set focus and it just set there I saved the game and load it back up and as soon as it was loaded it prompted me and from then on was able go on lke normal... this was under version 1.11 and sorry i do not have any data from the game i had to reformat sinces then...

Just a to point out the first 50 times would be interesting but after 100s of turns in i think it would drive me nuts....
The idea of "Terror Star" is totaly a lazy way out... and if it dose come back have it only usable by evil alignment... I mean who else would destroy a planet? also it would seem more feasible to me that you could make a planet uninhabitable(pq 0) over actually destroying it...
