Let us know at support@stardock.com. Please include your WB system info.
Zubaz is correct. Some MyColors are getting updates.
Both of thoes software titles are no longer developed or supported. Please log into safe mode and delete the vidstub.sys file out of the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder. I would do this with out Ubentu. If the version you're currently using does not work for you and you've tried reinstalling, please try one of the other versions available at http://bootskin.com If none of these versions are compatible with your system, we apologize, but you will not be able to run BootS
What security applications do you have running? Have you tried disabling them?
There is an update to 1.21 now available through Stardock Central. Give this a try and let us know if you still have issues.
I don't speak for the decision makers how ever as much as money leads to advancement I don't believe it's the case here.
I like bootskin, but if I were Stardock and having to update 10 or 20 or however many pieces of software to xp64bit, Vista32bit, Vista64bit, and whatever else, the software that only shows for about 10 seconds at startup would be the last one I'd worry about. I'm ok with that.
This is more along the lines of what I am sure is going on. The product
Ha! Glad it is working for you now. Don't worry about tickets though. Fast results and it is what they pay us to do after all :) .
I won't lie and say that BootVista is high on the list of Vista updates however it is ON the list. There is a plan to get it working soon but with no major time line. Many many releases have come out in the past weeks and many more are due very soon.
50% is a far too high usage rate. There must be something else going on. I know ultramon has had some large issues with Stardock software in the past it sounds like it is doing the same again. Please start a ticket with us so we can better test this out for you. support@stardock.com
Back up your theme, uninstall, restart, reinstall, restart again. We have actually had this issue before but have never nailed it down. It does not occur often at all. With the latest beta it seemed to clear the issue. I think you might be carrying the issue from a previous install that didn't get 100% updated. You still get it after all that let us know at support@stardock.com.
Sleepy try setting the "look up IP address each time" to on. That might clear the vista issue for you.
So even if we could give you support you couldn't test it due to the trial being over? Well that's is bad news but the good news is there has been an update to thepro version of late and it is working well. The whole of the company uses this software so I can highly recomend that it is worth the buy. If you uninstall the trial and install the pro version to get the same issue (unlikely but possible) just let us know at support@stardock.com. I'm sure we can hunt down what it is you are ha
Anytime. If you run into further troubles please let us know so we can test them out and let the developers know. Even though it might be a little too careful I always suggest uninstalling the software and reinstalling to the next beta phase after a quick restart. Might be a little zealous but I test software all day so I am a bit paranoid.
Current public version is still Beta 3. 4 is in QA testing at the moment.
Support does not supply support for systats I'm afraid or we would try to be of more help. In most cases the stand alone stuff works out of the docklets menu. If that docklet isn't up to date with the current version of ODP then you might have issues. I have not heard of the win.zip or rar issue unless you have a corupted download. I would try downloading it again to see what might happen.
Please contact us at support@stardock.com for more info on that one.
Ok well please send us a ticket at support@stardock.com. Referance this post so the tech can see what has been suggested so far. Also please list your OS and any security applications you have running please. Not sure where you are getting the trouble but we will hunt it down for you.
Also what version are you on with what OS?
Support is understaffed this week. We are doing our best to catch up. I will look for your ticket and make sure it get addressed as soon as possible. Sorry for the trouble.
To connect to the server? Could you explain with a little more detail or to save you time in writing it twice can you send us an email to support@stardock.com?
No you are fine. Have you tried uninstalling SDC and reinstalling? Sounds like you have a corrupted update or the wrong version. -Run the file here: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/remove_sdc.bat -Restart your computer -Reinstall SDC from here: http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe
Noted. I will be sure to pass that along and try it myself. Thanks for the info!
Error message 1001 implies that something interfered with the connection or the connection is bad. Please double check your security software to be certain that the Stardock servers are not being blocked and are made exceptions. Unless you are having internet issues there shouldn't be a reason that Stardock Central wouldn't be able to access the web otherwise. You could alwasy go under the settings menu and try the other server but it is not likely to help.
We are aware of the molten animation menu dissapearing, if you mouse over it you will see the menu again. This is currently being worked on.
