I first noticed there were some issues tonight with Avatars when Frogboy's avatar was loading as the UFO/alien guy. When I tried to change my avatar to a different picture file, I got the following error: Upload Error: The image could not be removed. Please try again later Is there something going on with Avatar pictures?

I couldn't post in the FE forums, either, though my issue seemed a bit different. Strangely, when I tried logging in, it took me to a page that said By on and that's it. I still wasn't logged in, and the original post I was viewing disappeared. Sounds like the recent upgrade may have broken some of the sub-forums! I have found the forums to be much more responsive, though.
Any chance it will be added back to a menu option instead? That's not terribly intuitive. And why was it hidden?
This may not be available for SupCom, as it's a 3rd party title. Currently it's not available for ANY app, SD or otherwise. The verify installation option is no longer possible with Impulse. I don't know when it was removed but could someone please put it back.
You're right, Wizard1956! It was in Build 1304 of Impulse (3.23.454), but after I just updated it's no longer available. What happened? This
From my understanding, a CRC check can be caused by anti-virus software or a hard drive problem. I know there have been issues in the past with people downloading Supreme Commander because of how massive it is. You might try right-clicking on the program and choosing the Verify Installation option and see if that helps. Also, try updating your sound card drivers and running a Windows Update.
And I spoke too soon. There have finally been some recent posts, although not from our dear friend BoogieBac. I think he's still lost in characature-land, drawing up princesses and such.
Agreed. It seems the Twittering has, well, twittered out (like the post says), which is sad. It was fun while it lasted, though!
Most computers I support now are showing Windows 7 64-bit, except for the ultra-cheap/Best Buy specials. That's an encouraging trend.
BoogieBac must have been abducted by that Twitter bird with the giant flaming sword. Hopefully it flies back with him sometime!
Isn't there a way to aggregate all of the Elemental Team twittering into this Team Elemental location? I don't tweet, so I'm speculating here. Thanks for the info, Cari!
I assume someone looked at these questions, but I'd love to see them answered, too!
I had the same problem a while back. I guess those things can happen from time to time. I ended up downloading Pidgin, which worked with no issues.
So, will the August FAQ turn into the Sept., FAQ? There were a TON of really great questions in here.
why slow it down?If it's a gift for some time in the future . . like buy now for Chistmas delivery.
Exactly. Or to suprise someone. Or to take advantage of a sale now.
Hooray! Thanks, ID.
And BoogieBac has been pretty quiet, generally letting Frogboy do his posts. Hopefully we'll get another update from the dev team on their progress/ideas with Elemental soon! I just hope Demigod hasn't sapped out all of their progress. At least they were ahead of pace with Elemental before that whole unfortunate mess started. I'm hopeful this all will only make Stardock a better company and Elemental a better product.
Interesting. I thought DHL exited the US market. Guess not!
Really? Hmmm... I guess it depends on when you place the order and where you live.
I was referring to the SD internal alpha. I'm assuming the first real non-SD exposure will be in the Beta, which is now less than 3 months away!
I hope SD can make their June Beta promise. The Alpha took longer to put together than they anticipated (due in large part to Demigod), but I'm hopeful at least a scaled down version of a portion of the game can be released for feedback to SD. With only a little over 2 months left before the first beta, it'd be great to see more dev diaries come forward to talk about the back story, game mechanics, the game engine, modding, content creation, heroes, the AI, etc.
I'm not opposed to the idea of mulit-platforms. In fact, if it helps SD make more cash to make better PC games, great! I'm just wondering what particularly influenced the decision to change the mission of SD at the GDC. They obviously understood and knew that getting your game out in as many platforms as possible would be good, but what was the catalyst?
And from the About page on stardock.com ( https://www.stardock.com/about/ )- Who Is Stardock Stardock is a PC software company specializing in Windows experience software and PC games. Sounds like this might be changing?
I've never been a PC bigot. That is, I don't choose to make games so that I can make them for the PC. I choose the PC so that I can make the games I want to make.
I'm wasn't trying to imply that you were a PC bigot. I just got the impression that SD was always going to be PC-exclusive, mostly because of your relationship with Microsoft and developer resources. I really would be interesting in know
why do people like Spore so much if it is such a piece of digital infestation.
Some people don't care. I do and haven't purchased it because of that. Although, it's supposedly DRM-free on Steam now, from my understanding.
Honestly, I'm okay with that. Especially after having to reformat my hard drive because I had installed the Spore Creature Creator - which decided to conflict with the WinXP SP3 update.
What? Spore interferred with your ability to install SP3? Did you install it through Steam or purchased at retail?
