Setting affinity to one core didn't help And no it has nothing to do with an overloaded dock, because I tried to disable all docklets and then reduce the whole dock to a minimal size (only three iocs) and the CPU usage spike is the SAME. I am the only one with this problem? Maybe it's a core duo exclusive bug? If so, I am upset <img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd_com/smiles/Cryi

How would sliding it back from full help? P.S. did it and it didn't help anyway.

I disabled all Docklets and that did nothing. I even went as far as disabling some features (eg, the Taskbar contents) and nothing helps. CPU usage still spikes past 50%.

I am using the free version of ObjectDock on my laptop (Centrino Duo 1.66GHz/Radeon X1400). But when I have the magnify effect on, the CPU usage goes up high. Needless to say, this is not a good thing when the laptop is on battery. But I do not have the same problem with a more complex effect, such the 3D animation sample in ATI control panel (CPU usage is only a few percent). What gives? I tried all modes and all engines (GDI, custom).
