"If you disagree with me, you're a Commie" C'mon guys, that argument is a straw man, and it's getting old.

I think part of the problem is that developers have become dependent on Steam to the point where they have all effectively become Tools of Steam. Not too long ago, I posted an issue I had with a Steam feature. One of the mods here piped in and repeatedly tried very hard to paint my complaint as completely unreasonable, even though a number of SD regulars agreed with my position. So, it would seem that Steam has so much power in the industry, that even SD is afraid to say anyth
Why is it that with every iteration of Windows, MS tries to hide/obscure more and more of the OS functionality from the end user?
I guess I'll be sticking with Win 7 for quite a bit longer than I expected.
Well for the record, I never actually called it a virus. According to pc mag PUPs fall under the definition of malware. Didn't try to cry wolf here...
A happy user of adfly. Hmmm, no bias there. .. And if you bothered reading my post you would see that I use av and anti malware programs. But never let reading comprehension get in the way of an opportunity to insult someone. .. And the fact that you are praising adware shows that you are either naive or a scumbag. I bet you believe Lenovo when they claim to have installed superfish for the consumers benefit. ..

Personally I'm not interested in quick games. If I have 30 minutes to kill, I'll just play a casual game on my phone.
[quote who="moshi" reply="2" id="3525807"] adf.ly is a legit (though highly annoying) url-shortening service that generates money for site owners via advertising. it's not malware, it's not even software (depending on the definition of software of course) my guess is that what happened to your computer is an infection with some malware that makes income for the malware developer by generating clicks on adf.ly urls. the links you provide at the end of your po

I just noticed that they removed or buried the control panel. Do they really think people don't manage their computer at all? I'm scared to see what Windows explorer has turned into. I'm guessing My docs and my pics are the only visible folders.

Start10 looks good to me. I guess MS didn't fully listen to its customers... Really they should have a mobile mode and a desktop mode that users can choose from.

Hopefully this is old news to most people here. Adf.ly poses as a legit site that allows businesses to earn money for each visit. It supposedly just pops up an ad before taking the visitor to the intended site. However, if you are attempting to download a file, and adf.ly pops up, get out immediately and don't download the file!!! As I said in the title, it will hijack your browser, and redirect you to all sorts of unwanted sites. AV programs will not pro

Interesting how no one has addressed the specific content of the article. When you have nothing meaningful to contribute, resort to foaming at the mouth insults, name calling and mockery. Yea, I've personally experienced this with the OneDrive. With Dropbox, transferring photos from my phone to PC is completely automatic. With the OneDrive, I have to log onto the OneDrive website, select the photos that I sent from my phone, and then select download to my PC. (and yes I have the OneDrive app on my PC). These extra steps completely eliminate the convenience factor. And if there is a way to automatically transfer photos from my phone directly to my PC
