Debug Message: A* Path too long to calculate (16.970562). Aborting Any news on if this will be fixed in 1.3 Final? I don´t care if it takes 5 seconds longer to end turns or what, but this is really annoying in larger maps. Having to baby sit your ships to their assigned Rally Points is not my idea of smooth turn

Its been several hours since I tryed to edit my post. But I tryed just second ago and still the screen appears
Finally my avatar image upload works, also sign out works. Thanks But when I try to edit my post in this thread: https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=274&aid=128642#995176 I get the following screen: What is weird, is that I can freely edit posts that I have created myself, but not the ones in which I have r
Hello Just found a hard crash bug with latest beta. I have reproduced this crash with Regional Settings English (united states) and Finnish. I have sended this one to gc2bugs@stardock.com aswell. Instructions: Load up the quicksave.sav game and move to the upper left corner on on map. You have two fleets there both have 3 ships. Select the lower fleet and remove the ship from the fleet which does not have full HP. Doing this freezes the screen for me totally.
I think the bonus nerfing is good. In way too many games (after middle game) its too easy to keep high tax rate and having jolly happy people. Haven´t yet tested this, but anything to make middle game more intresting is welcome. Last patch was released 8.8 so I hope SD had time to test these new balance tweaks. All in all a good beta patch, thanks SD! Iam off testing
Thats true! It should be atleast 10x times faster with 100% speed. Atleast then we could control it better. This turtle speed helps nobody
Thats a really nice list Frogboy! Iam very glad to see that one of the developer actually shares so many "wishes" as does a common gamer. It seems that the expansion and sequel is in good hands
There are several different AMD Athlons around. Quite old is AMD Athlon XP which uses Socket A, basicly you cannot get these from local store anymore. More reacent AMD prosessors are named AMD64 and Sempron. There are couple variations here: Basic AMD64 is a single core processor and AMD 64 X2 is dual core processor. You can have these both in two variations nowdays. Older Socket 939 processors use DDR memory and the newer Socket AM2 processors use DDR2 memory. AMD Sem
Well the tittle sums it up quite well. Iam kinda frustrated with 1.3 b2 bugs and cant seem to have willpower to start another game with that build. SD staff, any idea when are you going drop us another beta to mess with?
Thanks for the reply Kryo. Atleast its reassuring that somebody is looking into this. Will try to delete cookies and upload some images again. Thanks for the tip
So its been almost a month and this bugs me still. I cannot Logout from forums or upload any pictures in Account section. I have tried this with IE and Firefox.
I think the AI is just lacking in that department. And if you form an alliance with AI they never brake it no matter what. Expect improvement in DA expansion.
There is definetly something fishy going on with decomissioning/destroying ships while multiple ships in same sector. I had couple fleets in same sector, disbanded the fleets and started to destroy ships one by one. To my suprise, the ship did not actually dissapear. Waited a turn and selected the sector again and then the destroyed ship did dissapear to bit heaven. Here is a bit from debug.err when I did this. Debug Message: FleetManagerWnd: Cannot find OBJID Fleet
I have also toutted for this feature for as long as I remember playing GC2. Good to hear it gets some work on DA expansion.
The tooltip bug I reported in as very first bugs in this thread seems to be happening in 1.3 beta 2a right from the start. That is if you set your regional setting to some other than English (united states). Ok maybe not, since now I get the tooltip bug even if I set regional setting to English (united states). Sending the save game and debug.err to gc2bugs@stardock.com
Sweet job with the lights indeed! They work perfectly for me. Iam off to test the new beta 2a. Hopefully some performance issues are resolved alrdy or soon.
I have reproduced this bug in my game. Here is the save game and debug.err, ill send em to the gc2bugs@stardock.com aswell. To reproduce the bug do the following: Select "korx lord 2" ship and upgrade them all to "korx lord 3". You can find lots of these ships just above starting position. The upgrading icons do not appear above the fleets untill you actually select the fleets with these ships. debug.err <
Something fishy going on with latest beta when upgrading ships. The game screen informs that it takes "a week" to complete upgrade even if the upgrade is finished alrdy. The reacently upgraded fleet still has the "upgrade : a week" message on it and also the upgrading icon over it. Even so I can move the ships after which the correct upgraded names appear on ship name box :/
I just accidentally changed my regional setting to English (united kingdom) and got the scrolling problem again. Seems that only setting regional to English (united states) fixes the scrolling. Atleast for me.
@Codecritter Yes it seems to be the evil regional settings at work again. When I set my regional setting to United States the technology screen scrolls normally. With right clicking and dragging. I have to test more if the problem #2 is also regional settings related.
Here we go again 1. The tech window seems awfully slow when scrolling. Not a real bug but annoyance still. 2. Military and social production tool tips dissapear in planet screen and do not show correct values. I have not yet been able to reproduce this, but it is definetly there. Got the bug in yellow box, but still
From the first glance atleast your 3d cards drivers are ancient. Might want to try updating them to the latest and try again.
Update your 3D cards drivers to the latest and update GC2 to the official 1.2 version. Might want to check out that you have laterst DirectX 9c version too.
Just got this one installed and gotta say, the new planet light are really nice! Only glitch I experience with the new beta patch is with tech tree. Scrolling tech tree is really slow for me, anybody else got this one? Not a game stopper but looks/feels weird. Well Iam off to play first game with new beta patch, maybe other people can also post their finding/improvement suggestions here while they play.
Hello there Just thought to report couple forum and site bugs that I have encountered reacently. 1. I was trying to update my portrait picture and got this error: 2. I cannot signout from the forums or the main site. The main site login box only states "welcome" and pressing X box does nothing. Pressing sign out in forums also does nothing. 3. I cannot vote in the reacent polls at all <img src="htt
